3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured with a little carbonation and a clear dark amber color. Aroma is quite heavy on the fresh hop and resin. Taste is quite heavy on the bitter resin hops, with a good bit of citrus lemon peel on the aftertaste. The mouthfeel really sells this great seasonal beer.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Clean, crisp, clear, well balanced CA common with aromatic hops and enjoyable bitterness. The first beer to be certified as organic from Sierra Nevada. Nice work. Apparently used to go by the name Chico Estate in 2008 and re-branded as Estate Brewers Harvest Ale in 2009. Now that it’s organic it has a new name. I would drink this beer every chance I get. Hope it continues.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Green wax bottle. Aroma is earthy - some pine, soil, toastiness and a tinge of berries - pretty subtle. Flavor is very earthy - woody and piney with a hefty toffee/toasty malt background. Additional notes of bread, grapefruit and some berries. A resinous bitterness lingers on the tongue. Medium bodied, smooth texture and soft carbonation. I really want to like this beer but it’s just on the average side of good and pretty pricey at $10 a bottle. I guess I was expecting more of a burst of hop aroma and flavor.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wow....i didn’t open this for a few days because i was admiring the packaging. Really nice artwork on the label and a fancy wax covering over the cap. I shouldn’t have waited........
The beer has a dark, almost walnut color with a thick creamy head. It must be the wet hops that give it a light foamy head like this, and it is really nice. This beer has the basic framework of their pale ale, but the hops are much more vibrant. The piney aftertaste is similiar to the pale, but the mouthfeel is softer and richer. When Dorothy’s world changed from black and white to Technicolor, she was drinking this beer.
I love it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2013 Pours a crystal-copper color with a beautiful head. Aroma is nicely floral with a terrific bouquet of sweet hop notes. Flavor is smooth and hoppy. Fantastically balanced. One of the more alll-around perfect pale ales I’ve tried.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 2010 green wax. Quite good. Pours a dark orange/brown with a thin head. Nice lacing. Smell is pine, cinnamon, and spice. Taste is similar, although not as much cinnamon, maybe some nutmeg? A very "fall"-tasting, yet hoppy, ale. Quite good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2010 750ml wax dipped bottle. Pours an attractive yellow/orange color with a thick, creamy off white head. Good head retention with gobs of sticky lace. Nice, refreshing wet hop aroma balanced with a hint of toffee. Smooth, slightly thick palate with a bit of lingering bitterness. An easy to drink brew. As in the aroma, taste is fresh, clean wet hop layed on top of a level of malty sweetness and a hint of spice. This is a tasty, easy drinking brew that unfortunately is overpriced. I paid $10.99. I probably won’t buy another one.
