4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle 2012, poured into my snifter beautifully. Clear, but deep amber colored, red almost. Atop sits a four finger, serious head. Creamy and off white, looks gorgeous. Aroma is off the charts. Fresh, earthy and citrusy hops and toasty, oatmeal-like malted barley. The effort and craftsmanship of this beer are extrodinary. The taste pulls out tons of unique flavors from the wet hopping process, crisp grapefuit rind bitterness, balanced nicely by vanilla earthy sweetness, toasty caramel malts back it up nicely. Smells and tastes hand crafted, hand made, home brewed! The mouthfeel is outstanding, nice full body and great carbonation. This is a fantastic beer, Iím glad I got to try this super fresh IPA even though Iím on the opposite side of the country.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - Golden orange pour with great head. Aroma is mostly of sweet toasted barley. Flavor is like aroma with sweetness from the barley up front and hops in the back. Was expecting more hops and not as much much barley sweetness, but still a good beer.

Good. Citrus after notes and a good, deep smell that reminded me of the first time I tried sierra nevada. 2012 bottle.

3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured at 60 F degrees.
A - An amber red body with with a 2 finger moundy eggshell head that sinks around the edges and holds a cylinder crest in the middle. The head is beautiful and has deeply sunken trenches all through it. Excellent retention. Very nice patterns of lacing. Thick mounds rest on the edges of the glass.
S - Aromas of earthy hops, green and sultry. Lemony zest, grapefruit resides in the background. Iím having a hard time picking out aromas. Kind of weak on the nose.
T - Herbal pine floods the senses immediately. Peppery notes from the hops. A caramel cracker malts stands and backs the leafy green hop. Toasted grains. Some bright strawberries, and raspberry show full strength toward the middle and almost takes over all flavors for a brief moment and then start to die as the pine juices slowly flood the palate towards the end. Mango and melon round off the the malt. Bits of tannins on the finish. Very refreshing finish.
M - Medium body, well carbonated. A full lushy feeling.
This is a great IPA but too expensive for what is. I respect fact that itís homegrown barley and hops and the fact that itís organic. All in all its a very refreshing and fresh IPA. But Itís not worth $10 for a bomber.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Waxed topped bomber bottle poured a clear orange hue w/ a fair head. Big malt an hop aromas. Taste is a crisp grapefruit citrus. Nice balance gives the bitterness some backbone and makes this very drinkable.

This is actually the Estate Homegrown Wet Hop APA, NOT the Harvest Ale. But, RB thinks the Estate is only an alias for Harvest. This is not the case. I attempted to add the Estate Wet Hop, but the website wouldnít allow me to select a brewer in order to complete the submission.
Pours a clear, bright copper with a tall foamy cream colored head. Excellent root beer float-like head retention. Ample rich lacing around the glass. Mild bouquet of grass and citrus. It has a slick, moistening mouthfeel. The beer has a perfect balance of grain and hops that yields mild, yet fresh and pleasant alternating flavors of sweet citrus to tart grapefruit. I absolutely love this beer. The style is in my wheel house, but Iíd imagine anyone could find the specialness in this one. Superb IPA that drinks like an APA.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Almost three fingers of head on a hazy deep amber colored body. Beautiful.
The aroma is faint with some lemon and honey.
A bold taste: lemon and grapefruit bitterness all over the place with some malt sweetness in the background... way in the back. The bitter finish is long lasting too.
A crisp texture with moderate carbonation.
A wonderfully bold IPA, could use some work in the aroma area though.
