This is one of the only estate-made ales available in the world today. Produced with hops and barley produced on the premises of our brewery in Chico, this ale reflects the flavors of our surroundings in California’s fertile central valley. By growing out own ingredients, we ensure the finest two-row barley and the freshest hops on earth, from the field and into the brew kettle.

Green Wax Dipped 2012 Vintage Bomber. Appearance is a light gold and copper color an inch of sea foam head. Lots of pine, citrus and toasted malts in the aroma. The flavor starts out with grapefruit, mint and orange peel notes along with some caramel and sweet grain. Also a spicy herbal note from the hops in the background. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy and well-carbonated with a clean, bitter citrus finish. Even though it’s a little sweeter and grainier than most Wet Hops, it still delivers a satisfying blend of hops flavors.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish gold with a white head. Taste pine, citrus, slightly bitter. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served in a 4oz taster at Churchkey in Washington DC. Delicious and hoppy, wet hop taste comes through.

Bottle at Crispy’s. Fluffy white head and a deep amber body. Hoppy and bready aroma. Flavor is full of fresh citrusy hops with a distinct vanilla note. Palate is rich. Tasty beer.

hotstuff (3917) - Indiana, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Rated on 10-27-2009 (Bottle) This beer forms a large fizzy ivory head with a short retention, mostly transparent/slightly hazy orange body, fizzy carbonation, and a good amount of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malt, barley, pine, citrus, grapefruit hops, and evergreen trees. The Taste is moderately bitter, caramel malt, barley, pine and citrus hops. The Palate is tingly and thin. This is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this beer is very, very quaffable, worth trying and a beer I would enjoy drinking again. I recommend trying this beer even if IPA’s are not a style that one likes because one just never knows what one may find!

Hoppy sweet malt nose. Cloudy amber with a 2 finger head. Taste has malty sweetness with a good hop kick, caramel, honey, some citrus fruits. Big mouth feel with a long slight booze, malty hop finish.

Very nice. Think IPA, but with less bitterness and a fuller malt bill. Just a perfectly balanced drinkable brew. Tastes "fresh," too. A- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

All ingredients grown on site at brewer -- interesting twist. Reminds me of a non-West Coast IPA. Good flavor, hoppy, but not overly bitter. Very well balanced -- not heavy and yet not light. SN does know their stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very nice, bright, fresh IPA. Plenty of grassy and pine hops. Some citrus with a bready backbone.

25 oz. bottle. Pours a copper color with a white head that lingers. Aroma of fresh hop with a bit of malt. Medium body, flavor is a good mix of malt and hop, nicely balanced. Finish is a bit dry, slightly dry. Dry finish...not a bad brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

HopTsing (401) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - SEP 3, 2013
From the bottle poured a copper colored brew with a thick, frothy head. Nicely balanced malt and hop aromas. Full bodied and silky smooth with malty flavor followed by a little hop sting.

Bottle shared with HopTsing. Found this lurking in the beer fridge from last year- no telling how it will be. Orangey and hazy with big frothy head. Smells biscuity, a tad citrusy, a bit dank. First sip is perfumey and sweet, then the bitterness kicks in. I think this is past its prime-- oops, will have to drink faster next time. If I come across it again I will re-rate.
