20oz on tap at Cock & Bull. Reviewed this a couple months ago, not sure how I missed it while uploading my notes. Clear orange color. Good one-finger off-white head, with good retention. Smooth, light crisp carbonation. Medium body. Definitely smoother than Sierra from the bottle, from what I can remember. Light to medium bitter, less sweet. Light grassy hop. Some toasty malt. Little caramel. Classic American Pale Ale.

Not bad, but doesn’t really have a lot of taste. It’s also a bit on the fizzy side for my liking.

Huh, didn’t realize the draft was different. Just had a can of this recently and was pleasantly surprised - it had been a while. Floral hop aroma. Tastes are resiny cirus, pine, caramel malt. I’d have to try them side by side, but the draft didn’t seem quite as good.

Not so intensive citrus hoppy aroma. Small short-lasting head. Amber body. There is some hoppy bitterness in taste but also not so intensive.

Draft. Refined hoppy nose. Very well balanced hoppy mouthfeel. Not as punchy as some small microbrewery offerings, but clearly a well-finished ale, with no offensive odors or flavors. This is a beer that won’t win any tastings, because it doesn’t have any single overwhelming quality, such as extra hops (eg. Samuel Adams Latitude 48 IPA) or high ABV (eg. Dogfish 90 minute ale), but it’s a beer I can drink all night if I wanted to. Very smooth and refined.

Draft. Pours golden amber with fluffy white head. Aroma and taste of hops and grass and slight citrus. Taste is less bitter and more balanced than the bottled version.

In a tulip glass on tap at the Local Taphouse, St Kilda on 18/3/13. This is a really good beer but not as good as the original version. Pours a deep golden orange colour with a big white head that lasts. Has some sweet biscuit from the malts but dominated by a restrained cascade hop aroma with elements of citrus and grapefruit. A little thin in body compared to the original, a more sessionable version of their pale but I definitely prefer the original.

Sort of a dark amber pour with a white head. A bit maltier than I’d hoped, but still a nice citrus and floral hop character. Some pine and a toffee on the nose. The flavor is sweet and toffee forward. Some toast, bread, and mild caramel. Sweet citrus, grapefruit, floral hops, and mild pine. Light bitterness on the finish.
