COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

On tap at rogue wetbar. Clear red with a finger of white frothy cap and steady lacing. Aroma of spices, pine, toffee. Taste is bitter. Medium carbonation. Dry finish.

Nice late summer addition to the SN range. Rye IPA’s by nature are a little tough on the palate, which is really the only knock against this one. Nice grapefruit and citrus hop notes in the aroma and a beautiful red to orange color. Large white head, good lacing on the glass. Could use slightly more of a bready or caramel malt backbone to combat the spicy rye and bitter hops, balance is a little off.

tap at the Chico brewpub Aug 2013 - Pours dark amber with a light tan head and excellent lacing. The aroma is dominated by citrus hops. The flavor features caramel malt and crisp, aggressive citrus hop bitterness. It goes well together. There’s a medium body and a crisp, bitter finish.

Really hoppy without a ton of bitterness. If you like mapleleaf from anchor brewing youd like this. Great aroma.

Bottle. Clear and red. Hoppy, floral aroma, red apple, red orange and hard rock candy. Bitter, dry with candy, a little piney taste. Medium body, smooth texture with candy and very bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle:   Thick amber, small to moderate foamy white head, nice lacing.   Soft hoppy nose, a little non-descript.   Citrus peel and pith up front.   Mild sweetness, smooth.   Not too bitter.   Not a big IPA, its almost lighter than their SNPA.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Somewhat of a boring finish, light, lacking much... um, brightness, flavor, or IPA qualities.   Too light for an IPA in my opinion.

Big aroma of pine, citrus, floral hops, toasted grain and hints of fruit, especially pineapple and grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/slick texture, lively carbonation. great hop flavours here

Copper with a large slowly fading taupe tauper. Aroma is a nice balance of citrus and floral hops with toffee and sweet bread underneath. Taste of toffee, bready malt, citrus and a mild dry and semi-bitter finale.

Draft at Proletariat - NYC. Solid Sierra Nevada offering. Doesn’t blow my socks off but I could drink this all day. Nice pine and ripe citrus character, some bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Well balanced finish, just enough resin to make your lips smack but not so much you wish the beer would calm down. Loved it.
