COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

Clear red color. Floral and malty hops in the nose. Palate indicates this one might be a bit stale. I won’t hold that against the rating.

Reminds me of a cross between a malty Oktoberfest and a IPA. Great malt/hop flavor. Nice dark amber color. Very enjoyable, will purchase again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Murphy’s Comes to the table a crystal clear medium reddish brown with a fair off white head. Aromas of bready malt, hints of spice, and lots of citrus and pine. Flavor follows the aroma, a bit skewed to the malt side but flavorful enough. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick almost sweet mouthfeel. Nice easy drinking flavorful ale.

It poured a ruby color with a tan head. The aroma was of hops, citrus and pine. The taste was medium bodied, with sweetness from the citrus coming through. It had a malty finish and heavy texture that was ok.

Slightly hazy dark auburn amber with a thin foamy off-beige head. Nose is resinous and a little floral with some piney and grapefruity notes along with a strong yet mellow earthy red sticky-ness. Flavor is total flavor country; lots of sticky caramel, a bit of earthy tones, pine resin, floral hop cones, lilac, melon, a touch of orange zest, perhaps a bit of lemon as well, with a lovely big body and some crystal malts. Amazing red/IPA hybrid.

Just looked this up and realized I forgot to rate it. I liked this new seasonal from Sierra. Less abrasive hop notes than celebration, torpedo, or even snpa. Nicely tropical and citrusy and perfect balance.

A different take on an IPA. quite dry and strong hop flavor. Plenty of sweet citrus on the nose. Malt character a little too much for my personal preference on IPAs. But overall a good beer and quite surprised but the very pleasant aroma.

Draft. Nose full of hops and honey sweetness. Slightly bitter. Very forgettable.

Bottle. Deep amber with medium khaki head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit) and some malt sweetness. Medium body with notes of citrus hop bitterness and not very balance with the malt body.

Deep amber color with a sticky off white head. Fresh hop cone nose. Citrus hop flavors with some ripe fruit, red grapefruit, tropical fruit, and a juicy orange in the finish. Nice ipa variant.
