COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

Clear deep red/amber with an off-white head and nice lace. Modest earthy hop aromas with generous bready malts and hints of peppery spice. Flavors come on a bit stronger, with earthy and citrus hops poking through a solid toasted malt foundation. Wonderful balance with a whisper of alcohol. Medium body, generous carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, and a rich malty finish.

Great aroma and reddish tint. The taste of grapefruit shines through. A nice summer IPA.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours clear ruby red with one finger off-white head. Aroma of grapefruity hops primarily. A little dankness along with some caramel malt back as well. Taste is aggressively bitter. Some malt support in there as well, which helps considering the astringency. Fuller on the palate and slightly sticky. Finishes very bitter and lingers substantially. The description is right on for not being mild-mannered. Iím usually not a fan of this sort of aggressive bitterness and this beer is no exception. Still, itís an alright beer.

Pours a deep, clear amber with a large, creamy off-white head. Strong IPA aroma. Flavors of pine and some caramel. Full bodied. Nice change of pace IPA.

Big hoppy aroma at the pop of the cap. Stinky, funky, delicious. Dark ruby/brown. Nice lace and head clear. caramel, resin, floral, grass, spruce, citrus, herbs, toast, roasty, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, lively, bitter, long finish, I enjoyed it but it is distinctly Sierra Nevada.

Pours a bubbly copper-golden color with a 1 1/2 finger caramel colored head. The head retains very well, leaving this to be a picture for a beer poster. Lotís of citrus hop in the aroma, but balanced with some creamy malt aromas. Some pineapple to bridge the citrus and malt. Mouthfeel is smooth and a bit cottony with a carbonation bite on the rear of the palate. This beer is balance from nose to finish. The flavors are full of citrus hops yet medium roast, toffee malt removes any edge that would otherwise be expected in a beer hopped in this fashion. Very fun.
