COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours dark ruddy copper with a creamy dark beige head. Lots of citrus and some trop fruits in the nose. Near full bodied. Firm roast "red" malt. Lots of fruit, but it also gets a bit earthy. Very hoppy drink, and the hop burn is light. Nicely done.

Draft at Proletariat - NYC. Solid Sierra Nevada offering. Doesn’t blow my socks off but I could drink this all day. Nice pine and ripe citrus character, some bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Well balanced finish, just enough resin to make your lips smack but not so much you wish the beer would calm down. Loved it.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Copper pour with an off-white head. Nose is grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and toffee up front. Strong pine aroma as well. Flavor is a bit sweet. Toffee and pineapple dominate. Bitter pine on the back end. Decent grapefruit flavor, too.
