COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

From 12 oz bottle, pours a deep copper with beige head. Nose is pine, cedar, mildly aged citrus, toffee. Flavor is caramel malt, bread, followed by sharp pine hop & earth. Light/med body, nice and heavy hop.

Deep burnt red/garnet. Nose of caramel and deep toasted malt with pine. Flavor is toasted fruity malt with herbal pine and mild grapefruit. Clean, lingering bitterness and toasted malt.

Thanks to Dave. A fine, rich aroma of honey and floral hops, with a light, funky undercurrent. It is pretty malty for the style, but well balanced with dry, tingly hops. This one hits the spot - it is one of Sierra Nevada’s best IPAs.

Poured a very pretty medium garnet with a fluffy egg shell white head. Nice in the mouth.

12 ounce bottle. Deep reddish copper color. Large rocky beige head. Fruity malt nose gives way to spicy citrus hops. Spicy dry bitter hops upfront. Some tropical fruit malt, but mostly citrus and resiny hops. Nice body and flavor. Drinks smooth and easy. Quite nice!

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured in a reddish shade of amber, nice foamy off white head and lacing. Aroma of resin, citrus fruit and some malts. Tasty beer, bitter, hoppy, nice malts in the background. Very enjoyable beer.

Loved this beer a couple of years ago. Now, in 2014, not as into it on my second tasting. It tastes to me like a faded IPA with nothing distinctive to replace what's missing. Just a bit muddier from what I remember I guess. But still a solid beer and worth a try. I'll finish the six pack and revise if subsequent tastes change my impression ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a copper brown with medium tan head. Very malty for an IPA (I guess that’s why it’s a red) and its best quality is the robust malt character. Sweet, but not overly so. Citrusy hops in the finish. Really great beer!

A delicious red IPA. Aroma was pretty good. Perfect mix of sweet malt and citrus hops. Couldn’t detect individual smells but it was fine. Pour was a dark burnt red with a one finger off white head. Taste was delicious. Bursting full of hop flavor and very tasty for such a low ABV beer. Given the red color and the dryness of the beer I thought it was made with rye but don’t see it in the description. Nice dry malty flavor quickly gave way to grapefruit rind, lemon and slight pine. Nice carbonation. Great beer
