COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

HQT night. Bottle. Perfect red color. thick head. Creamy finish. Very distinct aftertaste. Hops really pucker the tongue. Just a prefect beer... good seasonal companion to sierra nevada pale ale. kudos.

Ar: Resiny hops, lots of orange, a bit of onion - sweet, slightly burnt caramel. Ap: Deep red, clear - medium light tan head with moderate retention, leaves a ring of foam and some sud covering. T: Bright pine and lemon, resin - high bitterness, with a garlic and pine quality - lots of orange pith - caramel adds to the firm malt body, but is not that sweet - finish is pine and more orange pith, some lemon and leafy bitterness. P: Medium body with high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Bright IPA with a fair amount of malt backing - the malt is supportive without becoming prominent and interfering with the hops.

355 mL bottle. Hazy red-brown. (Does that make amber?) Just a ring of head, but it laces nicely. Really appealing floral-citrus aroma. A little sweet, but not overly so. Fresh hops dominate the flavour, but there is a little toast from the malt. bitterness is fairly mild for the style, especially in the finish. Nice beer, though.

Bottled. Red brown pour. Bit of citrus on top of bread malts. Pretty decent. Nothing else here.

Bottle to a pint at the BBQ Jam session. Thanks Jason. Pours amber with white head and lacing. Good hop profile and flavors ... Yet balanced and smooth... Another reliable offering from Sierra Nevada ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014 fresh bottle into a goblet. Super deep, dark ruddy pour. Bit of off white head. Aroma is sugar, caramel, grass. Taste is bitter up front, caramel, sugar, roasted nuts...Not great, nothing special....but easy drinking. Just a hopped up amber ale.

Recent tasting of the SN Oktoberfest and Tumbler Brown kind of ruined this one for me. A decent take on a fall IPA I guess, but I’ve had better. Impressive, lasting fluffy off-white head. Lots of peppery notes coming through for me. Very bitter hops finish. Nice body and lovely almost opaque reddish brown color. Typical SN quality, so definitely better than most, but I definitely prefer their Ruthless Rye and Torpedo IPAs.

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s Chapel Hill. Pours a rich mahogany, slightly hazy, with a one inch frothy manila head. Nose is strong tropical fruits (passionfruit) and flavor is moderately sweet up front with a sharply bitter finish. Moderate to strong carbonation and slightly sticky body.

Bottle, as pictured. i didn’t really take too many notes when I had it. Poured a deep reddish color, somewhat hoppy but nothing crazy. Nice beer as always from Sierra Nevada.

Aroma of earthy and hops and brown sugar. Taste is malty and bread crust with some floral and spicy hops in the finish along with citrus but more balanced. Pours a red brown.

Dark amber color with off white head. Fruity malt aroma with resiny pine. Rich toasted caramel malt start with a fruity malt middle and finishing with a dry pine hop finish.
