Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

Got this at the 16th St. Albertsons this evening... Pours with a 2 finger lite tan head.. the brew is clear red/amber... splotchy Nose shows big American hops... citrus and pine are unapologetic... Hops are big and fresh and sorta pummel the caramel/dark toasty malty notes. Flavor is not as good as the aroma IMO... seems a bit watered down compared to the big nose... light toasty elements hit a good piney/grapefruit hoppy bite. Body is lighter than expected... carbonation is good... Despite my above negatives, this is a well done beer.

Very nice red ipa. Very pleasant copper poor with minimal head. Caramel and toffee notes are what stand out to me. Smooth hop bitterness. Very good.

On tap at PNP Morgantown. Clear amber with big beige head. Arom is herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, some small-bubble lacing. Taste is some grapefruit, herbal hops, some pine, and slightly bitter finish. Hop flavors are subtle for American IPA.

Single from total wine. Solid. A little more body and caramel but still with some nice English hops working. Grassy herbal some candi sugar. A bit metallic bitter on the finish.

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into my Sierra Nevada snifter. Dark ruby colored with a tan head. Aroma has some caramel malt with a blend of hops. Flavor starts off with some mild caramel sweetness and bready malt that’s followed by a nicely hopped finish. Very well balanced. Medium bodied with a sightly frothy mouthfeel. Just a really nicely balanced easy drinking IPA!

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-15-14. Quite hoppy, dry aroma features scents of sweat, pine, cracker, and hard pretzel. Good but simple smell. Pours a medium reddish brown / dark amber with a moderate amount of taupe head. Looks good. The flavor matches the aroma, with additional taste elements of well baked bread crust and toast. Medium body. Lively and thickly frothy in the palate. A solid beer all around.

12 oz bottle. 08131411641. (Martin’s) Winchester, VA.
Clear dark mahogany colour with a small off-white head. Tropical fruits, citrus, mild sweetness and some caramel in the aroma. The flavour is mild bitterness, resiny and piney hops and some maltiness. A bit too dark hop profile for me.

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with white head. Nice citrus fruit, hop, herbal, hoppy aromas. Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit hop flavors. I bought this in October thinking it was there autumn seasonal, due to the red and orange colored bottle. Turns out it is more of a summer seasonal, bottled in July. So based on that, wasn’t expecting a 3 month old IPA to bring much, but it was quite good, and made me want to re-try it next year with a fresher bottle.

Pretty good. Not very hoppy for an IPA. Smooth and refreshing. Noticeably carmel flavors.
