COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2014 Deep red pour. Sweetish start, lots of malt (not so much rye). Simcoe and Citra hops really come through. Creamy body, bitter finish. Good. Not sure what happened over the year, but this went from a really good rating last year, to pretty bad this year--not a pleasant after taste at all. No head. Meh.

12 fl oz. Medium to deep amber colour with a mid density, light tan head which lasted well and left scattered lacing. Aroma of pine, resin, citrus, paw paw, caramel and licorice. Medium bitterness and light to medium sweetness. Medium bodied, almost fluffy texture with a semi-dry, lingering bitter finish. A hint of alcohol warmth. Decent enough. 7.

Bottle. Ruby brown with an off white foam. Aromas are bready cookie dough with red berries and raisins. Leafy with tea and mellow tropical fruit. Sticky toffee with floral yeastiness. Flavours are sweet toffee with orange rind and earthy leafiness. Mango with brown sugar and herbal notes. Dry and lightly nutty on the finish. Mellow and spicy. Good.

Kuparinruskea, kirkas, ohut ja tiheä vaahtofilmi. Tuoksussa märkää nahkatakkia, maussa sitrusta ja karamellisuutta. Vähän lyhkäseksi jäi raapustelut tällä kertaa.

berkshirejohn (4818) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2015
12oz bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A reddish chestnur pour with tight cream head that leaves attractive lacing on the glass; some tropical fruit on the nose, but also some birch and spruce; the piney hops seem to dominate the taste, although there are some sweet, fruity malts hidden underneath. An assertive IPA.
