COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flipside Red IPA is a rebuttal to the mild-mannered beers of summer. Tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of whole-cone Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops are the perfect notes for this in-between season.

red body with pillowy white head. Very strong aroma of pine, fresh cut flowers, herbs, menthol and malty backbone. Taste is slightly bitter, more pine, herbs, spice, dark bread.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malts and some resinous hops - nothing special. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt and resinous hops. Not the most sophisticated balance, but it’s pretty well constructed. Overrated, but okay.

Bottle thanks to Eugene. Pours a clear copper with small white head that lasts. The aroma is fruity malt and caramel. Medium mouth, bitter, caramel, grapefruit, good.

Bottle @ Kaisla. Pours deep red with an off-white. Red fruit and hops on the nose. Light body with a fruity sweetness. Light after taste. Nice but perhaps a bit watery.

355ml bottle. Pours hazy reddish amber with a beautiful creamy light beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, fruits, citrus. Taste is similar with a good final dry vegetal bitterness. Medium body, very drinkable, medium carbonation. Nice.

355ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga)
Very deep red, large but brief head, settles to just scum. Pungently hopped, some treacly caramel too. Fairly light palate, pleasant carbonation. Tastes first of the caramel, then some burntness, then the pungent hops, and then the treaclyness again. After you’ve swallowed it all, there’s a huge drying bitter finish, resiny and dirty in the mouth, quite a tingle. Not as sticky as your typical red, which is a good thing. No sign of any alcohol. Pretty decent. Too bitter for glugging, but I don’t think a whole bottle will be a problem.

Orangebrun noe tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter mørke frukter, karamell og grapefrukt. Fruktig start med medium bitterhet. Bitterheten sitter godt i avslutningen.

Bottle. Clear copper colour with small white foam. Aromas of hops and fruits, also malty and caramel notes. Taste has hops, a mango sweet hint, a bit watery. Soapy mouthfeel. No real depth in flavour. I love Sierra Nevada beers and was expecting more from this one.
