COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As winter begins its slide toward the sunny days of spring, we bring you Glissade Golden Bock to help you enjoy the ride. Glissade is a remarkably mellow take on the traditional spring bock. With restrained sweetness, we emphasize subtle malt flavor, balanced against delicate aromas of spicy and floral European hops. This complex balance helps Glissade slide across the palate—bracing us against the last cold nights of winter, while its bright golden color turns our thoughts toward spring.

(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma holds honey candy, spicy/light grassy hops, apricots, hay, crackers and light butter. The flavour is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of hay, crackers, grass, spices and bread. The mouthfeel is clean with a light carbonation. Light touch of alcohol. Hoppy finish. Near medium bodied.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, over ripe fruits, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, yeast, malt, over ripe fruits, and metal, leading to a dry finish. Not impressed.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours golden with a slight haze and a smallish off-white head. Clean malty nose. Solid malt base, clean sweet malts and perhaps a little sulphur. Dry and bitter finish. Appears fairly classic German. Solid and well made. 140212

Enjoyed from bottle at Blind Robin in Chicago, IL. Appearance is a cloudy gold with not much head. Aroma mostly malty with a light citrus hop presence. Taste is a brisk malt, bitter from hops, not bad, for Sierra Nevada and the style its good.

TEJA (1286) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 10, 2012
Short, almost no head. Pale golden color. Fruity aroma. The taste lacks malt for a bock. Much bitterness for a bock that lasts a long time. Mellow for a bock beer.

Embrouille (2827) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 2, 2012
Bottled 350ml. Clear pale golden with a white head. A huge amount of boletus showing up in the nose. Caramel throughout. Sweet. Earthy hops. Very metallic. Surprisingly alcoholic for a 6.4 ABV beer. Not at all my kind of heller bock.
