COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As winter begins its slide toward the sunny days of spring, we bring you Glissade Golden Bock to help you enjoy the ride. Glissade is a remarkably mellow take on the traditional spring bock. With restrained sweetness, we emphasize subtle malt flavor, balanced against delicate aromas of spicy and floral European hops. This complex balance helps Glissade slide across the palate—bracing us against the last cold nights of winter, while its bright golden color turns our thoughts toward spring.

Tap @ the Hop & Vine... Poured clear golden/orange with a fizzy, white head. Aroma of cracker-like malts, passion fruit, and hops. Salty and bready, which balanced the hops. Overall very hoppy for a bock. Still pretty light and refreshing. Clean, creamy finish.

This poured poured clear gold color with a good sized foamy white head with long duration and good lacing. Nose of light caramel malts and floral hops. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel and pleasant carbonation. The flavor is mild but tasty and the finish lightly bitter. Not a complicated beer, but very easy to drink.

12oz bottle from a friend. Pours a darker than average lager color with a very small head. Aroma is bready with a hint of corn. Very meager flavor. Can’t name one quality about it. Decent mouth feel with mild carbonation. Very inoffensive lager.

Pours a golden with a thin tan head, aroma of slightly sweet pale malts and grassy noble hops... Flavor follows suit with notes of grassy hops in behind layers of malts, yet the somewhat sweet aroma does not translate... Good easy drinking malty bock beer, not my style of beer...

Thanks to hellbilly. Mostly clear pour, whitish head. Aroma has some honey, hops, light caramel and some yeast. Flavor is a mix of hops and run of the mill malt. Nothing amazing, but very refreshing and smooth.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 1/18/10

Aroma: The aroma is floral, some bread, some apple, melon, honey, and a bit of spice
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-orange color with a bright, fluffy white head
Flavor: Taste is sweet (apple) up-front followed by a nice, clean hop bitterness
Palate: This beer is really crisp, clean, and refreshing with lively carbonation
Overall Impression: This is a nicely made, refreshing springtime beer. A really nice release from Sierra Nevada. I found this one to have just the right amount of sweetness, just the right amount of balance, and a wonderful crisp feel. I look forward to drinking quite a few more of these come warmer months, and this one should definitely stick in the rotation. Really tasty, flavorful, super fresh beer.

2010 12oz bottle. Clear yellow pour with a finger or so white head. Aroma is mostly malt with an earthy herbal hop vibe in the background. Clean grainy flavor with dough and slight hint of banana. Light citrus hop and honey finish. Overall a tasty brew in a style I’m not that familiar with (yet).
