COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A complex and versatile new hop.

Our history with Equinox hops stretches back well before this newly developed varietal ever had a name. We were the first brewery in the world to get our hands on the intense and nuanced hop. We fell in love with the complex aromas ranging from bright and citrusy to herbal and woody, with a top note of fruity, garden-fresh bell pepper. Equinox is part of our five-bottle Harvest series, which features single hop, fresh hop, wet hop, and wild hop beers.

Pours amber gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus/wood. Med + body or better. Thereís very foamy carb at play here. Flavor is dry, woody, herbal. With reflection itís obvious that citrus is in play.

Poured a pale hard gold with an impressive, frothy head. Strong, nose. In the mouth it is pure hops. No malt to back it up.

Large white head, excellent retention and lacing that lasts. Lightly hazy, gold hued brew. Nose is a little earthy, spicy, herbacious. Body is sorta medium, too clean, decent carbonation. Fairly Dry malts, spicy hop flavors, bit leafy, maybe some citrus notes, bit of perfume. Dry finish, mild bitterness, lightly spicy. Fat bomber from statelineliquors.

Draft at El Bait Shop. Pours clear Amber with white head and sticky lacing. Not much aroma. Taste is nice bitterness but followed by some sweetness.

Just felt a little short on both the aroma and the taste of what I wanted. I didn't expect or want a hophead beer, but it just seemed short of a standard IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Ginger Man, Greenwich, CT. A dark golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, slight sweetness.

On tap at Kin. Pours a yellow Amber color with a bit of head. Mellow hop flavor that lingers long after. Refreshing on a hot day.

Bottle at home. Pretty unique and enjoyable IPA. Different than the typical "citrus burst" West Coast IPA. Pours light copper color- strong white head and solid lacing. Nose of malts, bread, spice, flowers, pepper and some citrus. Taste follows- spice, pepper and pine (maybe juniper?) stand out for me- some floral, herb and citrus notes in the background. Appropriately bitter and resiny in the finish. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Mellow and drinkable IPA. Clean flavors of the single hop are a refreshing change, yet still complex enough to be interesting.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus/wood. Med + body or better. Thereís very foamy carb at play here. Flavor is dry, woody, herbal. With reflection itís obvious that citrus is in play. Itís very tasty, and finishing bitter as all heck. Amazing IPA. Not exactly uber hoppy, but certainly uber bitter! Excellent.
