A complex and versatile new hop.

Our history with Equinox hops stretches back well before this newly developed varietal ever had a name. We were the first brewery in the world to get our hands on the intense and nuanced hop. We fell in love with the complex aromas ranging from bright and citrusy to herbal and woody, with a top note of fruity, garden-fresh bell pepper. Equinox is part of our five-bottle Harvest series, which features single hop, fresh hop, wet hop, and wild hop beers.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Floral notes, citrus, and some woody notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with an herbal hop note.

Sample at Great British Beer Festival 2014. Clear golden beer with a small head. Fruity hop aroma, grass, floral, citrus, raisins, biscuit notes. Fruity lavor, sourish, citrus, hay, grassy, floral notes, some caramel.

24oz bottle. Orange-tan body. Massive foamy off white head. The aroma is mild, mellow, tropical tinged, a touch of noble hop pepper. Clean, balanced, extremely drinkable. They kind of nail it with the bell pepper description. I want to drink more of this. Nice.

Pours clear orange with a thick, rocky white head that slowly recedes to fairly thick lace, and a lot of messy lace along the inside of the glass. The nose is floral citrus, somewhat fruity and herbal hops with a multigrain bread aroma. The flavor is the same with some nice bitterness that is more herbal and caramel bread malt. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long nicely bitter citrus peel and herbal hops finish. Very nice balance throughout.

Resinous, somewhat powdery, alfalfa hop aroma over an acidic malt. Nice bomber, recycled paper label, clear pinky-gold brew. Clingy, seafoam head that collapses into an ivory, oatmeal cookie-looking disc. Light mineral tones, lots of volatiles, a fresh hop rumble. Tangy, moderately astringent, edgy greenish hop bitterness. No jive on the commercial description - the hops here are working overtime to bring the beer complexity - all kinds of vegetal/herbal stuff combining in a zymurgic tossed salad. Sturdy/starchy mouthfeel, long residual bitterness. Impressive, in a ragged way. A hairy-chested beer. Market Square Liquors.

24 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a clear gold with a big, thick, frothy eggshell white head that heavily laces the glass. Aroma of herbs, wood, vegetal notes, grass, sweet malts, straw, peppery spice, and a bit of fruit rind. The flavor has more citrus rind, with florals, herbs, wood, perfume, pale and sweet malts, mild spice, earth, and grass. Light-medium bodied, with moderate to medium soft carbonation and a bitter, woodsy mouthfeel. Really interesting hop showcase. I like Equinox more than I thought I did.

First of all, put everything in a 24 oz bottle. I serious. Do it.. I really enjoy these SN Harvest beer. I don’t know that I could tell any of them apart in a blind taste test, but I do like them. This one seemed I a little more citrusy than others, I guess. But I like it a lot...

24oz SN bottle (I love those) hazy yellow light tan. Full off white head. ots of nice fresh hop aroma and flavor. Not super sharp or bitter but balanced and well rounded.
