3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Mild aroma of hops, some notes of chestnut and a hint of spice and fruit. Nice red color with a huge tan head. Rich malt up front....rich sweetness that is not overpowering. Great texture. Caramel and some hidden cinnamon come through on the finish. Bitterness is even and mild. Older bottle so fresh hop taste has probably faded. Almost creamy mouth feel...nice. Finish is slightly dry with a nice balance of bitter and sweet.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
710 ml bottle from bier-deluxe.de, bottled 09/24/14.
Deep amber, hazy body, with a big, quite stable, lacing, creamy, light yellow head.
Lovely, fresh aroma of grapefruit, flowers, lychee, berries, pine, resin, some sweet malts, slight soap.
Taste follows this, with a nice, restrained biscuit malt backbone.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, zesty, piney and subtly sweet malty.
Tasty! Typical, lovely wet hop aromas, but also with a resinous hop bite, balanced by smooth malts. Great IPA, but still not my favourite one from Sierra Nevada.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled 09/24/14. Amber, light brown color. Almost no head. Very light grassy fresh hop flavor. Little grapfruity, grassy taste. Nice body. Too much bitterness.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottled 129 days ago - takes a bit to get here over the Atlantic. Pours orange-red with huge white head. Aroma is full-on pine, grapefruit, grass. Taste reveals a solid malt base with caramel and cookie dough, somewhat floral, and of course plenty of resiny piny hops. Very good balance and pretty unique hoppy-floral-sweet mix. Fantastic!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It pours light amber with a slightly off white head. It produces plenty of lacing. With the aroma, the malts and grass and floral hops are pronounced. It has a piney taste with floral elements that provide plenty of bitter pop to it. Overall it is unique in comparison to most other IPA’s that I’ve had.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0,71 l bottle, best before 24/9/2015. Clear, copper with a frothy, stable, tan head. Looks absolutely perfect. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, resin and tangerine. Not as intense as expected but very nice. Bitterish taste of resin, grapefruit and tangerine. Quite good but not overwhelming. Long, medium bitter finish. Medium body, slightly oily and at the same time creamy texture, flat carbonation. Overall a very nice beer that unfortunately didn’t entirely meet my expectations. The bitterness dominates a bit too much and the fruitiness doesn’t develop completely. Still, this is a very decent IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From Q Club. Hazy light copper with very thick foamy white head and legs. Smells of apple, wet piney hop, light cinnamon and sweet malt, boozy. Tastes quite bitter, dry, touch of pepper/spice. Body is fluffy but slick, very smooth, finishes on a deeply bitter resinous note. Very piney and resinous IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from QClub at home. Barely within the 100 days since bottling suggested on the bottle. Slightly hazy light copper pour with thick fluffy head. Aroma is very dank piney hops - like the SN celebration ale but danker and, well, wetter. Taste is thick with resin and pine hop flavors - very much in that one direction. Not sharp though - not a Stone-like pine hop bomb. More evenly flavored, but still firmly in the resin/pine type of hop flavor. Solid malt backbone to balance. Palate is surprisingly rich and almost creamy for a not-that-big IPA. Good IPA but perhaps not as special as I was expecting. Would be interesting to compare against the Southern Hemisphere version.
