Palate offers a good balance of toasty/biscuity malt with the rather tame hops of pine & citrus character. Somewhat sweet on the finish, and very drinkable. petematte46 (218), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 7, 2009 Pour looked just like every other IPA. Smelled of hops and earthy tones and grass.
Was not that powerful in the hop department, kind of a let down. It didnt taste any more hoppy than their standard Pale Ale.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2009 Bottled: Appearance: Dark amber/orange with a slight haze. Big, rocky head. Good lacing. Aroma: Leafy, resiny hops. Flavour: Loads of resiny hops, long bitterness. Palate: The long hoppy bitterness makes this beer very more-ish.. Overall: Maybe not the most complex IPA, but definitley worth looking for. monkeychugg55 (222), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2009 This is my favorite of the Sierra harvest bombers. Packed to the gills with hops and balanced well. Not as expensive as most whole hop bombers too. jonno (562), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2009 This is a tongue coater..I can still taste it. Poured beautifully, like other sierra nevada products. They do froathy head like no one else. The body is quite smooth but with a floral aftertaste that didn’t quite sit so well with me. Obviously a quality beer, but not something I would seek out fidelis83 (712), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Pours slightly hazy copper with a tall light caramel head that has great retention and leaves very nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, toffee, fruity floral hops, light on the pine and citrus, aroma is weak for an IPA but inviting. Flavor is caramel, light buttery toffee, pine, a little citrus, toasted sweet grain, some earthy notes and mild planty hops. Finish is mildly bitter with a hint of earth and citrus. Palate is medium-thin with a smooth carbonation and slightly astringent feel. Good stuff, very enjoyable and well balanced. Blaketj80 (78), Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Decent flat hop aroma. Great in glass with good head retention. Hops are woody and lacking in chracter. Ok, wouldn’t buy again.
