Nice golden amber color with good clarity. Creamy head that dissipated quickly but left enough to leave some good lacing. Wonderful hop aroma with a woodsy note.
The hop bitterness swept through my palate and left me wanting another swallow. Well balanced with some caramel malt flavors. Nothing quite like a beer brewed with fresh hops. mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA

Dark copper color great lace off white head. Earthy bitter and full in the mouth reminds me of a double red ale. Bitter all over the tongue but not too bitter. Nice balance. Delicious beer. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Pours a copper clear color with a light white head. Aroma is metallic, pine/woodsy. Flavor is nutty pine with metallic notes. Body is light with high carbonation. A good hop ale. I like the hops in this. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy dark copper with a pillowy off-white head. Lots of heavy lacing. Nose is sweet citrus, slightly astringent, resiny, with some fruity esters poking through. Taste is sweet and citrusy but a bit aspiriny as well, with a toasty malt character in there also. Mouthfeel is lively but not too carbonated, medium-full body. Very nice.
