Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

HUMMMM!

24oz. Bottle Pours a very nice clean/clear golden orange color, very nice carbonation, very nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, with some thick/creamy sticky lacing left behind. The nose is hoppy, slight maltiness, with some citrus and slight pine. The taste is nice with some hoppiness, very slight malts, bitter, with some nice sweetness, and some citrus notes. Medium body. Very drinkable, this is a nice one, glad I got a chance to finally try it out, thanks Joe.

Dark brownish red body with a bubbly white head that leaves very nice lacing down the glass. Citrus rind hop arroma with some caramel, honey and florals. A light, not over powering bitter hoppy flavor with some florals. The bitterness intensifys near the finish. Not bad at all.

12th release. Pours transparent copper with huge frothy foamy head that lasts a long time (looks like rootbeer float foam). Aroma is hops and malts, but not as piny, resiny and I had expected. Flavor is more balanced than most IPAs -- in fact a bit watered down and weak to me. Still, a good ale, just not over the top like a lot of NW IPAs. I snagged the last three bottles the local distributor had of these. They willl probably all be gone by tomorrow.

Bottle. 2008 offering aka 12th release. Pours a clear orange amber color, which is surprising given the bit of sediment I saw floating throughout the bottle, with a hefty off white head which deflates quickly to about half of the original volume. Ample pine hops on the nose and a bit of malt. Body is a little bit thin at the start but turns a bit thicker as a creamy sweet maltiness comes through. Finish is overflowing with a quinine like bitterness which is wonderfully long lasting.

Aroma - A great citrus pine hop aroma Appearance - clear copper color with a creamy tan head Flavor - hop forward flavor, with a solid malt backbone... Palate - hop flavor is coating but not unpleasant, mouthfeel is a little thin. A great hoppy beer and easy to drink!
