| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 21, 2008 On tap, arrived with a nice amber colored body with a thin white whispy head. Immediate notes of piney, sticky delicious hops fills the nose and I can smell the dry bitter crispness. I was really surprised by the depth of this beer. The first sip was just as it smelled, bitter & piney with notes of grapefruit and citrus peel. Then following few mouthfuls really started to let the thick sappy fresh hop flavor come alive. I felt the like body got progressively thicker as the bitterness numbed outer layers of my cheeks and tongue. I really enjoyed this beer. coldbrewky (717), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Consumed in a fervor last night with JDKrone. Thick rocky head that is vaporized by piney hops. Nose is hops as expected with undertone of citrus then a fair smattering of malt. MEdium plus body that balances the alcohol content very well. Nothing fades during the 30 minute consumption. Very nice RedSox2004 (354), Pacific Palisades, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Updated: Jun 27, 2009Bottle poured into a pint glass. Strong two-finger head, decent retention and beautiful lacing. Citrus hops dominate the aroma, setting up expectations of a strong IPA experience. Hops seemed more piney on the tongue, and were nicely offset by a clear malt background.
Medium body, great carbonation and a crisp clean aftertaste. Hops rule the show and do so very well.
2009: Another terrific offering. Well balanced, with a nice sharp biting hops taste. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel, but same crisp aftertaste. jeff789 (377), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Amber with a fluffy head that lingers.... Aroma of citrus and piney hops.... Citrusy hops continue through out.... I like this better than the Chico Estate, but this is not nearly as interesting to me... The balance is excellent for me, and it finishes very clean.... aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA

Aromas of grassy, piney, citrusy hops. Flavors of citrus and grassy hops with little to no malt backbone. BuckeyeBoy (1654), Boise, Idaho, USA

Has the potential for excellence but misses out. Leaves the mouth drier than a old lady’s…yeah, I won’t quite go there. But still pretty yum and I’d get it again.
