scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Oct 27, 2008 24 ounce bottle. Pours a nice, dark copper color with a good sized, foamy, beige head that is clingy and slowly fades. Has a nice carbonation to it. Has a very pleasant taste of hops, pine, caramel, malt and spice, with a nice dry finish. Has a nice bitterness and mouthfeel to it. The aroma is much the same, but is equally nice. Well balanced, easy to drink and a very satisfying. Well worth purchasing again. BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2008 Brewed in the USA !! (KSBF) Pours a nice med amber color with a dissipating white head. Aroma is kind of hoppy with a malty, spice, citrus taste. There is a nice bitter finish, very pleasant to drink !!! canary dog (441), Rutland, Vermont, USA Oct 27, 2008 I don’t usually comment too much about the appearance of a beer. But this poured a beautiful and deep red hue, with a mighty and thick froth for a head. Impressive cosmetics. Spicy and hoppy notes predominate, but not bitter. Rich and malty, but not sweet. Another good big bottle brew from SN. Their Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale is simply superb. bradlyc77 (226), Sebastopol, California, USA Oct 26, 2008 2008, bomber. Nice off-white head with very good lacing. Beautiful amber color, hops are balanced and not overpowering. Definitely need another. kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Oct 26, 2008 2008. Pine, citrus hop aromas. Pour is a cloudy gold with nice thick head. Flavor is the pine hops more than any other. Nice bitterness. durhambeer (1187), Durham, USA Oct 26, 2008 12th release 2008 bottle. A few weeks old, I guess. Deep gold orange pour with generous off-white head. I like this beer quite a bit, and it seems like a somewhat unique beer for Sierra Nevada. More earthy, more malty than their other pale ale styles. Hops are certainly there, but not in a totally dominating way. Floral spicy hops as well as the requisite resin and citrus. I think I’ll go pick up another bomber of this one... SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Oct 26, 2008 had at boondoggles with my boy scoobs (after we bowled like champs)and the tim stranger... pours a dark gold with a great grade A head ... lots of pine and sticky hops ... enjoyable and very sessionable .. i had 3 before i even got my bacon and potato skins ... adavis234 (133), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Oct 25, 2008 2008 12th Release Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a thick, off-white head. Strong citrus and pine hop aroma, just as advertised. Pine flavor even more prevalent in the taste along with an understated bitterness. A unique and delicious brew.
