Oct 25, 2008 Updated: Aug 8, 20092009 Bottle. Clear copper, medium beige head, fine and lasting lacing. Strong pine aroma, earthy, toffee and raisins. Medium body, velvety, smooth and dry. Bright, complex floral flavor, pine resin, some grapefruit, with a toffee undertone. Medium-strong bitter finish. Excellent price.

Oct 24, 2008 Not quite as good as the southern hemisphere version, but still extremely good. Pours a clear brown with three fingers of head. Smells of citrus, hops, floral, and malt. Flavor is incredibly balanced. I am going out tomorrow and pick up more.

Oct 24, 2008 pours a nice amber colour with a very thick creamy tan head. Aroma is a light citrus, some floral tones, woody malt underneath.
Flavour is nice medium malt body, caramel tones, piney hop. Creamy body. Very nice.

Oct 24, 2008 2008 24oz bottle. Wow, this caught me by surprise. I’ve been a little down on SN for a few years... but I could not be more impressed with this offering. Amazing head and lacing, absolutely sticky. HOPS, pine, resin, citrus/malt finish. Really nice IPA

Oct 24, 2008 2008 Bottle provided by ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a large, off-white foamy head and a clear amber body. Good lacing. Aroma is darnkish hops with some melon, alcohol and citrus. Taste is hoppy with a decent amount of malt backing it. Light carbonation and a lightly creamy mouthfeel.

Oct 24, 2008 Forgot to upload my notes last year. Maybe that is because this beer is anything but memorable. Reddish copper color with a medium sized off white rocky head. Looks really great. Nose is apples wood sunflower seeds, salt. Taste is the same with some toasted malt and a decent crisp acidic finish. Bit woody tasting. Its good but not outstanding.

Oct 24, 2008 Pours a clear deep copper color with a smallish head and lots of lacing. Aroma is medium sweet with strong grapefruit and caramel to a lesser extent. The flavor is nicely bitter and more pine shines through than does in the aroma. Full-bodied, crisp texture. Long dry and bitter finish.

Oct 23, 2008 Pour is a clear copper color with an off-white head that yields light notes of citrus, pine and hops with a touch of sweet malt. Flavor is so fresh, bursting with crisp, bitter hops and grapefruit. Very bitter, clean finish.
