Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

Bottle: Pours a booming 3 plus finger head, it just lays there, a beautiful copper amber clear body... as I drink the beer the head just sticks like nobody’s business, I think 1/2 the bottle is stuck to my glass afterwards... LOL... strong caramel sweetened hops with some dirt thrown in, if this is what wet hops smell like, then now I know... like dirty, freshly picked, grassy citrus... anyways, the aromas are unique and fragrant, the flavor is caramalized malts - hops... after some of the froth settles, distinct toffee, some chocolate emerge... it’s muddled but perceptive... I like the special harvest series from SN... though I give a slight edge to the Southern Harvest where the hop aromas are just awesome and crisp! Recommended.

[Draft] Pours a darker clear orange/amber with a medium sized beige frothy head. Fruity caramel aroma, piney. Earthy flavor, dry caramel, light pine and resin, tobacco. Medium bodied, easy drinking with sparkling carbonation. Would like to try one out of the bottle.

Bottled: thanks tiki taylor! Pours a golden color with white lacing. Smells of light hops and tastes bitter, but very clean and full of hops, that lasts great on the palate. Good beer!

This ale pours a nice copper honey color. Aroma is nice clean, bright citrus piney hop flavor. Flavor is very rich. Bright hops, and a nice dry finish. Very nice ale and one of my favorite Sierras!

12th Release Bottle. This beer pours a amber with a beautiful white head. The aroma is heavily floral pine. The flavor is extremely floral, yet very nice and quite different from other hop showcased beers. The beer’s body is pretty thin/smooth, which makes it go down nice and easy. They really captured the freshness of the hops in this one. Good Good.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a lasting off white head. Sweet caramel aroma with pine and citrus fruits. The flavor is well balanced with piny, floral, and grassy hops, as well as sweeter caramel malt. Very good.
