Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Oct 17, 2008 Pours an amber color with a medium white head with a web of sticky lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, caramel malts, and pine. Taste is much the same. A nice balanced IPA, but I prefer the Southern Hemisphere! CanIHave4Beers (835), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Oct 17, 2008 Pretty tasty stuff, Lots of floral hops in the aroma. Tons of hop bitterness in the flavor. Lots of lace on the glass. The palate is very sharp, and of course this is not terribly well balanced, but seriously did it need to be? rustychiles (1007), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 17, 2008 Pours a nice ruby reddish to copper color with a soapy frothy light tan head. Aroma is hops, pine, citrus and malt. Flavor is fresh piney citrusy oily hoppy malty caramely goodness. Decent amount of caramel, malt and hop bittering in the finish. I really enjoy this series when it comes around every year and is fresh. Botnik (102), Carrollton, Texas, USA Oct 16, 2008 Updated: Oct 17, 20082008, 24oz bottle. I expected to be impressed, and I was. This one has spice and floral notes which place it above its siblings. I just finished a a side by side comparison between Wet Hop and Southern Hemisphere. Wet Hop Harvest is a bit spicier and darker copper. Southern Hemisphere is slightly hazy and a bit more citrus. BrewmeisterEd (59), USA Oct 16, 2008 24 oz bomber...12’th season release...pale copper pour with amazing head retention...thick and foamy...I really like the ’wet hops’ concept - puts one over on the homebrewer who has to buy pellet or flower that are nowhere near same day picked or pelletized! Full mouthfeel with tastes of lemon and pine. Nice! Syd (888), Waconia, Minnesota, USA Oct 16, 2008 12th Release Harvest Wet Hop Ale 24 oz bottle pours a crystal clear deep amber with a monster head and lots of sticky cobweb and structural lace. The aroma is of fresh hops, canned peaches, and caramel. The flavor is very fruity, sweet, grapefruit, pine, well rounded, and harmonious. The palate suits me, but could stand a touch more richness for the depth of flavor. As it stands, it is a bit thin. Overall, this is good. ajm (902), Los Angeles, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Bottle from Jubilation. Will totally have this again. Very clean and sweet nose - doesn’t pop out of the bottle or glass, so not outstanding, just very nice. The very definition of smooth and clean-drinking. Great piney hops, orange zest and love. Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 What a beautiful looking beer. Deep, hazy amber hue, with a creamy head that wilted away almost immediately. The thinnest of lace is all that remains one minute after pouring. Nose is light, fresh, clean. Rich sharp flavor was not given away by the aroma. Grass, but in a really good way. Lightly bitter with hoppiness. Yummmmmmmmmmmmm.
