| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2008 From the new BevMo in Fairfield, CA. Hands down, this is the best beer I’ve had from Sierra. I’m guessing because it was fresh-hopped they age their hops before making their pales. Not a fan of the latter... bconger (75), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. We just got this beer in Georgia, but I had it on tap in Denver last Winter and was so excited when I saw it bottled! I drank this beer at Falling Rock Taphouse with snow on the ground outside. Pretty romantic beer scene for a South Georgia boy. Let’s see how it compares to draft...
Beautiful true amber color with a medium-thick, foamy off-white head. Bright hop aromas and almost a Dawn dish detergent aroma in the background (did I rinse my glass?) Bright citrus, too. This beer smells like it has more than 6.7% EtOH. Milder taste than I remember. Good IPA, but this beer is missing depth. Nevertheless, I enjoy the smooth malt and black pepper that hide behind the long, bitter finish. Good IPA, but not quite what I remember. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Bottle treat from Mes. I did really like this as I do with quite a few Sierra Nevada beers. Fresh and light on the palate, hoppy, right amount of bitterness, spruce aroma. Dark amber with a ncie head. Would love to have again. tagz (334), USA

Got the big bottle from Total Wine and enjoyed this with the guys in Raleigh. I will probably grab a couple more. dchmela (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Fresh 24oz bottle, pours out an orange amber with a thick fluffy white head. Big citrus floral hop aroma with a hint of spiciness, like they dry hopped it a lot. Taste is smooth malt, bitter hops and slightly chewy resinous from the hops. Leaves a long bitter finish. Not an outstanding ipa, but for the money, this is a really good value for a solid brew.
