First Impression: A very nice IPA, if a bit commercial. Aroma is very flowery hops, dust and mold. Visuals are a beautiful red - copper body with a bright white head that is persistent with nice lacing. Taste is sweet with a bitter ending - very well done. Palate is crisp, dry, with a long bitter finish, but not very strong. Second Impression - an amazing value - a fantastic IPA for regular enjoyment. Delicious, and done in the true spirit of the craft.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2008 24oz bottle from Racetrack Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours an orange-amber color with a thick white head that settles slowly. Aroma is sour with notes of orange, lemon, wheat, and latex. Strange. Taste is bitter, hoppy, generally light bodied. Fairly unpleasant finish. Interesting, but only a periodic drinker. CelticBrew (691), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Pours from 24 oz fat boy, deep orangey amber, forming medium off white head. Lots of little bubbles give the beer a hazy look. Aroma of resiny citrus hops, wet forrest grass. Flavour of grassy hops, caramel rock candy with a slight peppery note. Bottom line; a superb IPA beer, easy drinking and clean and crisp. Would love to try an on tap version.
Bought at Priscellas in MHC, NC. Thanks DrBayern and Doboy for bringing it here to the crystal coast area! jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 24oz. bottle. Clear orange/amber color with a medium sized off white head. Citrus hop aroma with some resiny pine and a bit of caramel. Flavor of pine, light grapefruit, doughy malts. Very crisp and refreshing. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 17, 2008 24 oz. bottle on 06/17/08. Clear, brilliant burnt orange body under a frothy, light beige, lasting head leaving a wispy lace. Fine hoppy aroma of pine and citrus, background notes of spice and toffee. Medium body and carbonation, a mildy resinous character that complements the dry palate.
Good balance of flavors with a solid caramel sweetness and assertive, yet not overly bold, spicy hop bitterness. Kudos to SN, they still brew some really fine beers. For the price (I paid $5.00) this is a great value, and can hold its own against the better IPAs and APA’s out there. BrewDad (2366), Olympia, Washington, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Great brew on a par with their barley wine. Head dissipates quickly but the taste makes up for it just the correct amount of hops to make this the trademark of this beer hoooraybeer (48), Cranford, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2008 pours honey amber with a medium white head. Aroma is faint clean citrus with a slight hint of cherries. Mouthfeel is effervescent with brief malty fullness that is quickly supplanted with fresh piney hops. It is clean and refreshing. Really good but not really exciting.
