Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

24oz 2008 bottle. dark copper with a fluffy medium head. faint hop and citrus smell. hops on the taste with slight caramel and malt. bitter hop finish. fantastic balance. a great baseline example of an IPA. well done. K-7.5

Fantastic. Aggressively hopped, a true hop showcase. If only there was a way for this to be available year round...Southern Hemisphere isn’t a reasonable alternative, this one is much better.

Bomber. Pours a golden orange into New Glarus pub glass. Fresh nose and flavor. This beer is indeed "green". Fruit and hop flavors prevail. Just enough malt from keeping it a hop overload.

Hoppy, some malty hints. Color is golden/amber. Tasted some orange peel/grapefruit and spices. It had the distinctive Sierra Nevada taste.

Appearance is what one would expect from an IPA with the light amber body and a thin tan head. Multi sized bubbles. This beer is well hopped and tart with a nice dose of fruit and floral notes. Pine and grapefruit. Good balance.

From 24oz bottle to tulip glass. Poured with a frothy light almost tan head and leaves a lovely lace on the glass. Color is dark orange somewhat copper colored and a bit cloudy. Aroma is of fresh hops. Taste is balanced with plenty of hop character. The hops taste very fresh and green. This is an exceptional fresh hop ale, with just the right amount of hop flavor.

(from notes) Very good stuff. Solid, balanced, drinkable brew with more flavorful hop character. Heavy resinous and floral notes. More balanced than many fresh hop/"hop heavy" beers. Can’t beat the price on SN bombers, too!

24 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Pours a straightforward brown with huge head and major lacing. Bitter piney hops aroma. Very sweet hoppy taste with a VERY strong grapefruit vibe.
