chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Dec 20, 2007 This tops SN Celebration ale which is one of my favorites. Affordable too boot. Fresh hops max the flavor. Dry as all hell in great SN tradition. illkarate (89), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Dec 20, 2007 24oz bottle. Wow, this caught me by surprise. I’ve been a little down on SN for a few years... but I could not be more impressed with this offering. Amazing head and lacing, absolutely sticky. HOPS, pine, resin, citrus/malt finish. Really nice IPA. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 19, 2007 Bottle - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Clear copper with a fluffy white head. Mouth-watering aroma of piney and citric hops. The flavour is equally hop-forward, although there are some caramel malts in there as well. Interesting tangerine notes in the finish. Really nice! Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Dec 19, 2007 Updated: Apr 27, 200924oz 11th edition bottle-An amber body with a nice small off white head. Hops, citrus, and a slight malt aroma eminate from this brew. Taste of hops and more hops with a nice dryness blended in along with some faint malt. Nice job from SN and a great tasting IPA.
24oz 12th Release ’08 12/2/08 (Wine and Cheese Place-St.Louis)-Pours a medium amber with a huge off white head. Aroma of malt, hops, and citrus. Taste of the same with some pine thrown in. Not too bad a bit weak. 8/3/8/3/17 Same scores. alafito (334), tijuana, Mexico Dec 18, 2007 One of my favorite IPA, a very good helping of malts goes into balancing some very flavorfull hops. The alcohol is spot on. This brew is very versitile, you can have it by itself or with seafood, mexican and other spicy meals. Nice and heafty head with lots of lacing. FInishes a tad flowery. bp (451), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 17, 2007 Bottle, 11th Edition: pours a dark copper color with a thin frothy head, nice hoppy aroma with a bit of a citrus aroma too, taste is hoppy as would be expected but not overpowering in a double-IPA-way, smooth finish, nicely balanced. I’ll take Victory Hop Wallop over this but this is still a very nice IPA. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Dec 16, 2007 A very hoppy aroma and a lot of hops on the aroma. Enough malt to carry it easly. A very refreshing drinker. Very good carbonation and a full palate. A well balanced offering that surpassed my expectations by a bit. Peregrinari (53), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 16, 2007 Good floral hop aroma with hints of wildflowers and citrus. Orange copper color. Hop with grains, finish is bitter. Weak lacing. Not a bad beer overall, just not outstanding.
