Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

24 oz bottle picked up at johns market for 3.99, Nice aroma woody with fresh hops not very aromatic. Dark copper color great lace off white head. Earthy bitter and full in the mouth reminds me of a double red ale. Bitter all over the tongue but not too bitter. Nice balance. Delicious beer.

Deep copper color with lasting thick white head. Aroma is pungent with pine and freshly mowed grass. Flavor is juicy with hops and a pleasant bitterness. Nice malt with caramel. Very nice.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Beautiful copper color, huge white foam. Elegant taste, not extreme. Pleasant bitterness. After taste was soft and fairly long. Good beer!

24 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet (2009, 13th Release). Dark orange pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma is a punch in the face of pine and wet grass. Good bitter grapefruit rind flavor balanced with toffee and graham cracker sweetness. Aftertaste is a lingering piney hop bitterness. It has been my experience with this beer from years past to try it immediately upon its release and this is the first chance I have had to drink it. This is a good IPA.

Poured a cloudy orange/copper with a tall foamy tan head. The aromas were of pine and grapefruit. The initial taste was crisp and clean and it builds to a good hop bite. The flavors of grapefruit and pine come through in the taste as well. There is a nice underneath sweetness to balance the hops, that rolls to a good strong Sierra Nevada hop finish
