Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

On Tap at the Falling Rock Tap House, Denver 13/10/2008 Some malt aroma. Copper amber coloured and smooth on the palate with a crisp hoppy and slightly bitter dry finish.

Draught at Sorbon, Stockholm. Clear amber colour with rich, hop-induced foam. Rich grassy, hop aroma and grapefruit peel. I get a dry impression. Flavour is immensely grassy bitter, almost salty after, with a backbone of fruit peel. This got almost too much even for a hop head like myself. Mouthfeel is slick, oily. Medium sweet, big bitterness. Great beer!

This is seriously one of the best beers I have ever had.... The look is clear copper-orange. Little bubbles shoot up like tiny elevators. Three enormous fingers of fluffy heads. Rings of thick lace like a redwood; ice cream float head on top. It’s got it all. The hops in the nose are a complex blend of major oily citrus. Sweet flowery perfume, but a tiny, slight resiny pine. Beautiful. Some burnt firewood. The taste is a bitter perfume; sweet, but with a bite on the back end. Roasted caramel malts are crucial. It’s about the perfect IPA. There is a triumphant triumverate of sweet hops, bitter citrus hops, and roasted malts. [In flavor, it is very similar to Stone Ruination and Flying Dog Double Dog.] The feel is strangely bubbly and fizzy with a bite on the way down. Though this beer is really bitter, it’s beautifully balanced. A superior Harvest/IPA. Dynamite in a glass.

Unique and something everyone should try given the chance. The hops demonstrate a nice balance between hoppy tang/citrus and leafy green bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a bright orange color with a big white foamy head. Nose is piney, dry hops with a biscuity essence. Palate is full and tingly. Flavors of biscuit and grass with the dry piney hop finish

Bottle- Enjoyed the wet hop ale, good thick head with a clean copper tinge. Fresh hop and mild citrus notes with a malt smoothness ties it together. Spice and a touch of sweet, a bit of bitterness at the end . Smooth, fresh flavors and really drinkable.

Aroma: spicy pumpkin, nutmeg. Apperance: transparent, copper, huge head. slight carb. Flavor: spice, long hop palate, Palate: a bit watery, nice lingering hop finish. Overall: ok, neutral watery hop IPA-style. actually nice for a Sierra Nevada
