dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Jun 29, 2009 Bottle. This is a hearty beer. The color is harvest brown, with a creamy, tan head that fades quickly. Excellent floral hop aroma, with a hint of malt. Heavy, with a stronger malt presence than expected. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jun 26, 2009 Bottle. Such a sucker for these fresh hop beers. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Citrus, and grass fresh cut at that, woody pine and a spritzy spiced hop resin. Very nice brew. GranvilleTim (465), Granville, Illinois, USA Jun 20, 2009 12th release, 24 oz. (2008). Dark amber pour with an off-white head. Malt aroma with piney hops in the background. Nice malt taste wih the hops equalizing a nice balance. Little spicyness at the end of the drink. Very tasty beer. I wish I tried the first 11 releases. Nice lacing on the whole glass. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 18, 2009 Poured with a nice head. Very fresh, yet subtle hop smell. The flavor is very hoppy, but also very drinkable and smooth. I really liked this beer as I typically do with Sierra Nevada. broozer81 (63), , New Jersey, USA Jun 18, 2009 just got the 16 oz sierra tulip glasses so i stopped at the lq on the way home from work and found the last 2008 Harvest in the store..pine aroma and taste with malts that were definitely present more than usual in ipa’s that i’ve tasted but could be the hop’s wearing off a little bit since it was brewed in late aug.08....overall still an excellent ipa, looking forward to this years... Cirrhosis (610), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 15, 2009 "Mahogany body with a thick tan cap, strange looking for an IPA. Lots of sticky roapy lacing hanging from the sides of my glass. Hoptastic aroma, candies peaches, mild grapefruit, and some dust, and something I can’t identify but it seems to hold back the intensity of the aroma. Standard west coast IPA taste but of a higher quality. Bitter peach toasted malts, extremely full flavored beer. Soap appears in the finish but mildly. What the this last sip tasted like the smell of the diaper shelf at safeway. Good IPA high quality but nothing really to wow about it."
