Beer Guy99 (250), Maineville, Ohio, USA Mar 26, 2003 This is a wonderful beer. I had it on draft and the keg was two years old! It was delicious. We used CO2 to dispense the beer but the head was so tight and creamy it appeared to have been poured with a nitrogen / CO2 mixture. This really is a great effort by Sierra Nevada and it makes me feel better about the brewery since I think their flagship pale ale has been slipping in flavor in recent years. PieTaster (32), Humpton, California, USA Dec 15, 2003 Heavy shit baby. This beer packs tons of hop and malt flavor. I wish it was available year round but due to the way they make it this would be impossible. Giant (4), Minnesota, USA does not count Dec 17, 2004 This is an incredible wet-hopped ale. Nice and citric. Very nice body and color. A must have in autumn. GreatLibations (1327), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Oct 9, 2007 Pours copper w/ a full, thick froth. Superb hangtime reducing slowly to a full fluffy ring and island spatter. Aromas of fresh, bright, crispy hops. Nice! Full nectar w/ creamy residual effers. Abundant citrus rind tempered by a dense caramel malt component. Beautifully balanced this specimen is exceptional. The finish is long and thirsty. Overall: I really like the sharpness of the hops. The balance is supreme. Highly recommended. ilherps (93), Carbondale, Illinois, USA May 1, 2008 This beer is excellent. Pours a reddish copper with a thick white head. Aroma is citric, like fresh cut oranges, and as others have said, also has slight hints of what you think might be marijuana. The fresh hop taste is incredible, I found myself looking at my glass after sips and thinking, well done sierra. The hop flavor is perfect and deep, so far this is the best of this style I’ve tasted.
