timfoolery (361), California, USA Jul 8, 2008 From the new BevMo in Fairfield, CA. Hands down, this is the best beer I’ve had from Sierra. I’m guessing because it was fresh-hopped they age their hops before making their pales. Not a fan of the latter...
edmajorjoe (50), Vail, Arizona, USA Oct 6, 2008 Nice looking amber beer with a thick long-lasting head on pour. Very hop-py scent and taste which make up for its average palate. All in all a must taste tester. fredandboboflo (617), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle, 2008. Aroma of toasted malt and a hint of grassy and bitter hops. Flavor builds nicely on the toasted malt, but the hops become little more than astringent background music. Rather thin mouthfeel. Wasn’t bad I guess, but certainly wasn’t all that great either, and even more certainly a far cry from what I would expect from a SN offering with the word "hop" prominently placed on the label. LilBeerDoctor (623), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 5, 2008 Bottle, 12th Release Harvest Wet Hop. Pours a clear amber with a thick light tan head. Aroma of grassy hops, dirty socks, and caramel malt. Flavor is rather sweet and malty, with some stale wheat, also a little weak. This kind of tastes like a weak pale ale. Hmm, I don’t know if it was just me, but this beer certainly wasn’t very hoppy at all and overall it was just ok. afireinside96 (493), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap at KSBF ’08. Amber-orange body with a small head. Nose and flavor sing with resinous pine and grapefruit. Slightly floral. Probably my favorite beer that I had all day. carruthm (430), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 4, 2008 AKA wet hop harvest
