desurfer (1034), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Dec 1, 2007 Brilliant, slightly cloudy amber body with a decent sized tan head. Aroma of fresh hops and alcohol. Flavor is bursting with rich citrus and pine hops, extremely fresh and vibrant. There’s also a good dose of caramel maltiness and some alcohol warmth. Finishes sticky and hoppy with some lingering boozy notes. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this for years and it didn’t disappoint. A superb IPA!
graham515 (298), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 7, 2008 Pours a copper/gold into the glass with a nice white head. Aroma is very grassy and citrusy. Flavor is very grapefruit like and has quite a bit of astringency to me. I appreciate this beer for what it is but don’t find it ALL that enjoyable. Would rather have the Celebration or just the Pale Ale mikalooch (19), , New Jersey, USA Sep 3, 2008 22oz bottle, 1st release 2008.
Pours a rich amber color with a pillowy beige head. Can definitely smell the earthiness, fresh hops with lemon and a sweet undertone. Hops from the get go with a hint of sweetness, close to honey, even some spices. Very rich mouthfeel with a smooth and drinakable finish. Teriffic and refreshing beer, definitely one of the better 2008 releases that I have had. epf33 (151), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Sep 2, 2008 one of the best beers of all time, better than the SN summerfest, you can taste the "harvest" in it OldRaspy (281), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 30, 2008 Poured from the 22oz bottle a deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma was all citrus hops. Flavor was a solid malt with the grapefruit all throughout. daknole (699), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 Good IPA for something mass produced. Copper pour with a nice head. Aroma is pure citrus with maybe a slight hint of bread. Taste is a hop party with malts crasing the bitter party at the end. Well done.
