4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #600. On draft at home, sixtel. Poured clear, light orange with thin white head leaving a virtual blanket of lacing. Nose is sweet of candi sugar, floral notes, and light citrus fruits. Sweet, light citrus flavor of tangerine, peach, orange. Finished dry and tongue stripping with piney notes present. Medium bodied, excellent balance. Just a touch boozy.

Meh. Pours a golden brown. Nose and taste are hop hop hoppity hop. Nothing unique or special here. Just another hop bomb for the sake of being a hop bomb. Been there done that.

Oh my freakin’ lord. Liquid Lupulin in a glass. Clear golden with a formidable head. Citrus, spruce and candy aroma. A resinous riot in my mouth, with huge hop flavor up front, then a hint of the carmel malts and alcohol, before being clobbered by the long luxuriously abrasive bitter finish. I’ve had so many beers recently that claim to be DIPA’s, but fall so far short of the goal line, that this is a refreshing reminder of what life could (and should) be like - every day.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice honey/orangy amber. Nice thick off white head. Intense aromas of mango, peach, pineapple, alcohol, flowers, honey and piney. Smells incredible. Initial flavor is sweet followed by a sharp bitterness. Fruity flavors all around with s nice piney bitterness. Resiny and sticky with a massive oily mouthfeel from the hop oils. Very complex flavors. It’s all over the place in a good way. Ranges from almost tropical fruit all the way to a piney roasty bitterness. Delicious. Pretty impressive brew. Not usually a fan or Sierra Nevada but this one is a must try for hop heads.

Bottle at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 30th March 2011. Bright orange with a whitish head. Lovely citrus nose, mix of oranges and lemons. Very, very nice. Really great hoppy beer. Smooth, great weight - perfect palate. Also had again on 25/05/11 - equally good.

Bottle. Wow - what a monster! Clear orange/amber pour with a smaller white head that laces okay. Huge hop nose - grapefruit and pine resin. Slick palate. Taste is again huge hops - grapefruit, pine resin, floral....just huge, and extremely tasty!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle, 2012 edition. Thin, foamy khaki head. Clear vibrant orange color. Good lace. Very nice, creamy texture, very light carbonation. A light alcohol bite in the finish. Super-bitter taste. Super dry and assertive hop-bomb aroma. If you crave hops, you’ll find this to be delicious. Citrus, mango, grapefruit, pine and resin aromas. Really big... Not for the casual fans of IPAs. Gets better and even smoother as it warms, with that light bite softening away. Great to enjoy with a panini-pressed Jimmy John’s italian sub.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very soild Double IPA, but not great. A light golden orange that’s not quite opaque enough for a good appearance rating. The smell is on point, piney hops lifting from a slightly unbalanced body. Taste is zest of grapefruit, a heap of bitter spruce hops with a mouthfeel of fine wine. Def worth a try but one is all you need and can probably handle.
