3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pretty liight orange, tranparent body with a white head. A big floral, earthy, Mary Jane nose. Very very floral hoppiness with a huge accompanying bitterness. Light pale malty body with also a Mary Jane flavor. Very floral and hoppy finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange pour with a off colored white head and good lacing. Aroma holds grapefruit, oranges, evergreen, and flowers; smells like hoppy fruit cocktail. Flavor is extremely hoppy, with more resin complementing the citric qualities beautifully. Excellent mouthfeel, especially given the ABV.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter hop flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, mango, grapefruit, and light pine. It pours a transparent amber with a large yellow tinged off-white head with good retention and sticky webbing that clings to the side of the glass. The flavor starts with tropical fruits with a hint of mango and pineapple. The finish has strong grapefruit with some light pine. Medium bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sierra Nevada, what are you doing getting your paws all knotted up with these ingredients? I like you guys, but you’re outdoing yourselves. This brew has the kick of a Clydesdale (no, not an allusion to that wimpy Budweiser brand). This is like an M-80 full of hops. Epic bitterness pulls a cage match with your tongue. If you get the opportunity to fill a mug up with this stuff, you’ll feel like someone just gave your soul a happy ending.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Nice amber/copper/orange body with descent white head. Nose and flavor are city’s hops with a nice malt backbone-doughy breast and sticky. Medium to full bodied. Overall: delicious brew for this early spring day!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A hop bomb, and I loved it! Clear amber color with medium head and body. Strong hop aroma, stronger hop bitterness in taste and extreme hop bitter after-taste!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The beer pours an orange-amber sort of color with a finger of khaki colored head.
S: Smells pretty dank and funky. I get some feet and armpit at the beginning, but it seems to subside. A decent amount of citrus comes through in the form of grapefruit and there’s a good pine note. A fair amount of booze and some mild malt (bread).
T: The grapefruit and pine flavors are "large and in charge" here with a lot of big hop bitterness. Unfortunately, there is a strong alcohol flavor that brings a bit of a burn. Some toffee and toasted malt flavors provide the malt character.
M: The body is on the full side for a DIPA, and it’s pretty heavy on the tongue. The carbonation is moderate.
D: A rare miss from Sierra Nevada. I would have liked a lot less booze and a lot more hop flavor here.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass. Appearance is a wonderful translucent amber with sticky lacing. Aroma is hops and peppermint. Taste is all semisweet hops with just a little bit of hop influence. Very well balanced beer and delicious.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really solid but nothing earth-shattering. 24 karat body with a tightly packed ivory foam that leaves clumps of lacing/webs spattered inside the glass. Aroma is bright citrus, spruce, and caramel for balance. Flavor is assertive with grapefruit pith, lemon peel, and orange juice accompanied by evergreen. Medium mouthfeel...ABV nicely hidden.
