9/10/6/11/12/11

Big 24oz bottle. Amber \ copper color, creamy white head. EVERY HOP CHARACTER IS CONTAINED IN THIS BEER! Aroma is herbal, floral, medicinal, piney, citrus, grassy, orgasmic and calming. A good amount of caramel malt as well as a touch of mixed berries. Flavor is thick sweet maltose, nice buscuit, and bitter hops. As big as the HOP complexity is in this beer, somehow it is sweeter than it is bitter. WOWZERS, this beer is in perfect hamony in the most Jazziest way. Only an America DIPA could harmonize like this. Back to the flavor, it finishes with a hearty citrus rind, candy caramel, golden grapefruit, buscuit and munich malt, hints of earthy wheat malt, ABV well hidden, heavy bodied. SN couldn’t have done better!

Bomber bottle. bottle.... Pours orange/amber with moderate offwhite head, good retention and lacing, a little darker maybe than a typical IIPA. Great aroma, tropical fruit, resin, floral notes and a toffee/doughy malt sweetness. The taste is subtle as a sledgehammer - huge grapefruit/resin bitterness overwhelming just about everything else, though you do get a nice toffee note from the malt before the finish, which is also hugely bitter and lingering. best in small doses.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Crazy laced, clear pale amber, big off white head, big ol bubbles, great retention... Ridiculous aroma, loads of citrus and toasty malts... Im beginning to believe that when it comes to these double ipas personally no beer with ever taste as good as it smells when it comes to my palate, i hope im alone in this feeling... Big flavors, strong flavors, very piney, with less citrus than expected, becomes thick as it warms... Big sticky mouthfeel...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
24oz bottle. Poured an absolutely clear orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was sweet malts, citrus, grapefruit, hoppy floral notes. Flavor was hoppy, pine notes throughout, the bitter malts. Wow, this one is pretty good alcohol masked pretty well, but creeps up quickly. Certainly one I’d suggest sharing because even though I was enjoying it, only consuming about 1/3 became a chore.

Tasted 3/19/11. 24oz bottle. 2011. Pours mildly hazy with an amber orange hue. Aromas of bright and fresh hops with notes of mild grapefruit and lemon rind. Slightly floral. Nice and full bodied with a bright hop character. Good bitter flavors with a decent alcohol bite. Typical Sierra Nevada quality! Bright yet bitter effervescence and body. Nice piney notes as it warms. Very solidly produced!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft… Clear amber ale with a small, foamy, white head. The bouquet is fruity and floral – Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit gum, a fresh arrangement of mixed wildflowers, freshly fallen pine needles and mango. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor furnishes a sturdy toffee-biscuit-caramel malt backbone, but the fruity, earthy hop bitterness is, without question, the star of this show. Piney, grassy, mildly biting finish.
