4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2012 Adding to my notes from June 2012. This is one of my top five favorite beers. My other favorites are Firestone Double Jack, Stone Ruination, Weybacher Insanity Barleywine Ale, Firestone Subaca. This one has found a place in my rotation and I buy it whenever I can stumble across a 4-pack. The only reason I don’t give this an even higher rating as I don’t feel that anything is perfect. This beer...is very close!
Previous: Very nice brew. Worth trying if you’re a hop head and into double ipa’s!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A light clear amber with a wonderful cloudy head. Big aromas of grapefruit, resiny citrus, apricot and light pine. Flavors of resinous sweet grapefruit/citrus, pine, apricot, and alcohol only lightly in the nose. Sweet, very bitter, strong hops coming through, and lightly dry. Two thumbs up to sierra nevada!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Smells great. A mix of fruity hops and earthy/grassy hops. Not much malts on the nose. Has a very nice clear golden color. I poured a two finger head that lasted a bit. Taste awesome. Upfront get a heaping of the fruity hops followed by the earthy hops. Light body, very smooth. Very carbonated. For I Double IPA, this beer is very sessioable. Overall, this a great beer, I highly recommend to any hop head.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aromas are of resin, pine, citrus, basically a huge american hop bomb. The flavor is super resin/pine, and overly sweet. I did not care for the lack of balance in this beer. Way to sweet and way to resinous.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours medium golden with a large off white head that craters down nicely. Aroma of sweet hops with hints of pine and tangerine. Flavor of hops all the way through. Very bitter, but a bit creamy in the mouth, which helps cut the bitterness but also leads to a less than refreshing drinking experience. A very hop forward beer with a ton of hop flavor without much else to balance it out. Good hoppy beer if that is what you are looking for.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Browned golden with a smallish, off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Pungent grapefruit flesh and peach nose - very floral with a bit of pine at the end. Bitter flavor that grows, displaying flavors of spruce, leather, grapefruit and black tea atop a caramel/toffee candy backbone. Full bodied with a slightly astringent finish. Rock solid.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
A delicious, full bodied Imperial IPA. Takes Torpedo to the next level. Buy it in a 4 pack next time you get a chance.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2012 Wow! Super bitter, super dry, probably the best imperial IPA i’ve ever had. So much better than those sweet syrupy ipa’s its ridiculus. And for $9.99 a four pack, you cant go wrong! SO glad I bought two quads of this freakin amazing brew!

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Amber orange brew with off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, floral and citrus hops. Taste is light caramel malts with a solid hops assertion. Actually not as hopped up as many DIPA’s but still plenty here. Very fine.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really really good. Expected it be be fairly average in that the majority of Sierra’s are a mix between craft and mass pro. Surprised in the perfect aroma and smooth finish despite over 10%. A worth opponent to hopslam
