3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16oz draft at The Pine Box in Seattle. Whoa, no idea it was this strong. Well presented in a nice place and a gorgeous balanced beer that hid that crazy alc well. rich, oily orange. Foamy ray head. Heavy, oily, funky hops. Sweet citrus. Socky, big fruit and very tasty. Juicy hop bomb, but hits all the great notes and not over the top

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 floz bottled 31st March 2012. Pours a vibrant cloudy orange with one finger of soft off white head. The aroma is intensely fruity, with an equal mix of orange and peach, as well as some subtle floral notes and some sweet malt. The bitterness in this beer is all-encompassing. It’s there from the attack right to the end of the finish. The attack is bitter, then developing some more flavors in the mid-palate. I get peach, caramel malts and sherbet (unusual, but refreshing). There’s a slight creaminess just before you swallow, followed by a long and complex finish with orange peel, grapefruit and outrageous hops. There’s a definite weight and viscosity to this beer, but it isn’t overbearing. Although the carbonation is fine, I think a little bit more would have helped to cut through the hops slightly. I like this beer. It’s complex, while still being true to it’s intent, which is to be the most hop driven beer around.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium golden color with minimal head. The aroma is fantastic and the taste is dominated by hops as expected -- citrusy, This is an excellent DIPA although it could be a little less sweet. Despite the high ABV the alcohol is not nearly as noticeable as it is in other beers I have tried today that have a lower ABV. It tastes like the Torpedo Ale on steroids.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thin white head, decent lacing, and a medium-amber body. Aroma is heavy resinous hops-- hops completely overpower the malt. Flavor is hop-forward to an extreme... the big malt backbone is revealed on the mid-palate... and the finish is intensely bitter and lingering. Body is big and chewy, with a soft pervasive carbonation. Overall, this is an intense, but nicely crafted Imperial IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big hop flavor and aroma. Good Imperial IPA. My local shop in Michigan ran out. Pick it up in Texas. Good lacing and orange amber color.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle pours a clear orange with a slight head that’s pretty sticky. Got pine, and lots of grapefruit pulp on the nose. Flavor slaps you across the face with more hop notes, pine, and grapefruit, with a sweet, subtle malt character backing it up. Resinous and sticky as hell. Nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle pours an orange amber color with aromas of pine, sap, citrus, and some caramel, farily even distributed aromas. Flavors are the same as the aromas balanced nicely.
