A group of hop-heads and publicans challenged our Beer Camp (#19) brewers to push the extremes of whole-cone hop brewing. The result is this: a 100 IBU, whole-cone hurricane of flavor. Simply put- Hoptimum: the biggest whole-cone IPA we have ever produced. Aggressively hopped, dry-hopped and torpedoed with our exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas.

Hops, hops and more hops are the stars of this big, whole-cone Imperial IPA. Resinous ‘new-school’ and exclusive hop varieties carry the bold and aromatic nose. The flavor follows the aroma with layers of aggressive hoppiness, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar and tropical fruit – all culminating in a dry and lasting finish.

12oz bottle into a sierra nevada snifter. best 10.4 Ive ever had,no doubt. Pours a brilliant orange red amber combo with golden hues in the background. Head is maintained around the glass but holds steady. Taste is pretty much a torpedo x2, heavnly hoppy, tastefully delicilious, fun going down and the hop bite withholds after everything, Tangy, juicy hops are profound. I dont get the brewed just yesterdya feel like the stones enjoy by, but this is still legit and compelling enough to resonate a profound rating. still cant beleive its 10.4, what? glad i found this one randomly in a random western mass packy that shouldnt have even been offering it, and at 9.99 a 4 pack, i think i lucked out. classic brew right here.

Very big, well balanced DIPA. A little light on the nose but well balanced taste with a bit of a thick finish on the mouthfeel.

I’m not a hop head, but I appreciate a well balanced IPA. This isn’t really that. Leaves an astringency on the tongue that means you need to drink as much water as beer.

Pours a brilliant copper with a lasting head with lovely lace. Aroma is light resinous hops, fresh lumber, light sweetness. Astringent, resinous, hit-you-over-the-head bitterness. Wow! Crisp palate with good carbonation. Nit exactly balanced, but what a ride!

The man at the store said this was THE best double ipa in existence... With words like that I couldn’t just NOT get it... This is a great beer bitter as heck but balanced with a nice full body and a a sweetness that makes it extremely drinkable. It’s a little boozy, if I correctly understand the meaning of that word... It tastes extremely alcoholic.

355 ml bottle. Pours a highly sediment-filled orange amber with a white head. Aroma is resin, grapefruit. Flavor is citrus (lime, grapefruit). Finish is loads of bitterness - citrusy to death, as in lime, lemon, grapefruit and sour candies. Medium body, sticky, resinous mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Flat-on-your-ass double IPA.

Light copper pour with a thick white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, pine, grapefruit - sweet and a bit boozy. Full bodied. Flavour is caramel and herbal hop notes followed by pine and citrus bitterness. A lingering bitterness with hints of anise and some sweetness, with the alcohol apparent. Drank quite warm. Good, but I’m a little underwhelmed.
