3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I was really excited about this beer it arrived in the stores right before my birthday. So I had the okay to stock up on beer. I feel like my money could of went to something better. I am a Hop Head DIPA = Favorite Style... This beer just isn’t balanced and the hops almost burn your tough with bitterness. Maybe it’s the hops they use
Aroma: I popped open my first one and the smell was fantastic, I was really excited about getting 24 of these guys
Appearance: Looked right up my alley with a dark orange tint with a thin white head
Taste: With Hopslam being my favorite DIPA I was hoping for something great. Boy was I disappointed. Unlike Hopslam, Hopstopid, Dreadnaught act... the balance is just not there
Palate: I gave the palate a high score, because it definitely give your palate all it could ask for
Overall: Very disappointed, and other than the standard Sierra Nevada Pale Ale... I’m not to impressed with what they offer as far as IPA’s go

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Wine Lord, Birmingham. Consumed whilst watching Leicester take on Reading. And draw. "Drink water!" yells the commentator. I certainly will do after this 10% ABV beast. Smells unremarkable. Like my sock draw - clean but with a hint of dirt. Taste is also unremarkable. A score of 100 on this site? Not sure I agree there. This is tangy, gingery and pleasant enough but the extremely high ABV doesn’t add anything, except heartburn and the ability to light a candle with my farts.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2014 355 ml bottle @ Ukkometso
Copper orange slightly hazy beer with little blonde head. Aroma has berryish and caramelly sweetness as well as piney hops. Flavor is bitter, licoricy and fruity. Full palate with medium carbonation. A strong bite of bitterness with a fruity aftertaste. Alcohol doesn’t come through at all. Kind of a barley wine like full slow-sipping beer but I believe it would taste better if it was fresher.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Creamy beginning with some sweet caramel syrupy thickness that leads to bitterness, but remains on the heavy side. Some spice and pepper notes are very faint towards the middle/end. Some pine. This comes across like a stout in body and sweetness, but does have some hoppy bitterness to it at the end.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice complex hoppyness. This one ranks up near the top in the DIPA catagory. Awesome taste and excellent nose with good finish. Perhaps more important though... I love the picture on the bottle, makes me laugh every time I look at it and at 10.4% after a couple I laugh even harder!

Hoppy, fruity and floral notes. orange, citrus, mango, but also pine. I like the hop variety, as it comes through very well.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Great looking label. Burnt orange pour with a small white head. Great nose of piney resinous hop, ganja, tropical fruits and sweet malts. Cracking balance struck flavour-wise which was a wonderful hop showcase. A little booze lurking in the shadows. Robust bitterness that lingered on. Superb Double IPA, up there with the best of em. Praise be for the hop family. What would we do without them...

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sample at a tasting. Orange body with a low white head. Quite bitter with a sharp hop presence. A bit sour and herbal.
