COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A group of hop-heads and publicans challenged our Beer Camp (#19) brewers to push the extremes of whole-cone hop brewing. The result is this: a 100 IBU, whole-cone hurricane of flavor. Simply put- Hoptimum: the biggest whole-cone IPA we have ever produced. Aggressively hopped, dry-hopped and torpedoed with our exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas.

Hops, hops and more hops are the stars of this big, whole-cone Imperial IPA. Resinous ‘new-school’ and exclusive hop varieties carry the bold and aromatic nose. The flavor follows the aroma with layers of aggressive hoppiness, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar and tropical fruit – all culminating in a dry and lasting finish.

Bottled and on tap numerous occasions/locations. Rating is for bottle. Clear gold color with a fat rocky white cap of foam. Aroma is immediate and intense; grapefruit, pine sap, rum cake and hay. Very nice, makes me salivate! Flavor begins with meaty sweetness which turns into an epic mouth-raping hop assault. Resinous hop bitterness throughout the back end with more citrus character and woody pine. Finishes sweet and a bit heavy. Overall enjoyable, however I find it a bit too malty/sweet. I’m a sucker for the big IPA’s that can pull off more of a crisp, peppery, dry floral finish. Alcohol on this one is a straight dome-shot.

Alla spina. Bionda e poco schiumosa; poco profumata, amarognola, erbacea, mediamente corposa, poco resinosa.

Wysycenie średnie do niskiego.

Overly sweet - more like a barley wine than an IPA but with a lot of bitterness to balance. Rated by BrewTom

355ml bottle. Clear brown to amber with one and a half finger creamy off white head. Aroma is pine, floral, tropical fruits and caramel. Taste is pine, caramel, tropical fruits, burnt sugar and slight floral notes. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and pleasant lingering bitterness paired with some alcohol warmth.

Beutiful copper with off-white head. Really powerful hop aroma. Nearly perfect balance between sweetness and bitternes. Really nice stuff.

Pint at the great British beer festival. Kicked off with this and don’t remember much else. Good stuff. Proceed with caution.
