Bottle to glass shaker. Pours a dark yellow with a medium white head. Great lacing. Many strong hop flavors of floral / citrus / pine. There is a heavy oily like aftertaste of these flavors. Delicious.

Very nice complex hoppyness. This one ranks up near the top in the DIPA catagory. Awesome taste and excellent nose with good finish. Perhaps more important though... I love the picture on the bottle, makes me laugh every time I look at it and at 10.4% after a couple I laugh even harder!

Hoppy, fruity and floral notes. orange, citrus, mango, but also pine. I like the hop variety, as it comes through very well.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Great looking label. Burnt orange pour with a small white head. Great nose of piney resinous hop, ganja, tropical fruits and sweet malts. Cracking balance struck flavour-wise which was a wonderful hop showcase. A little booze lurking in the shadows. Robust bitterness that lingered on. Superb Double IPA, up there with the best of em. Praise be for the hop family. What would we do without them...

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma: Potent herbal, piney, phenolic, grapefruit rind aromas. Minor scents of caramel and nuts. And maybe some wood. It’s incredibly rich.
Mouthfeel: Dense and oily, very pleasant.
Taste: Oh dear. Talk about hoppiness here. Intensely bitter... breakfast cereal, grapefruit rind, spruce, herbs etc. (And some caramel goodness). Too good to describe.
Finish: Even more bitternes with a tongue numbing dryness. Warm alcohol seeping down the throat. What is great about this beer is how drinkable it feels, despite its high alcohol content. Some medicinal-like phenols. Almost no hint of sweetness here.
Overall: THE beer for serious, no-compromise, bitterness-loving hopheads so far.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet. A tall near-white bubble head, covering a hazed orangey-golden body. Sweet-scented toasted and light caramelly malt aroma. Rough resiny, strong citrussy hop aroma. Fat body, juicy mouthfeel. Taste is on the sweet side of bitter-sweet. Sweet honeyed caramel malts, straightforward fruity and resiny bitterness. A safe and tasty middle-of-the-road IIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour, copper haziness with minimal off white head. Aroma slightly piney with subtle citrus notes. Lots of bite upfront that mellow out nicely as you drink the brew. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Burnt orange pour, average white topper. Blunted pine-hop aroma. Hints of citrus rind. Not quite the nose-full I anticipated. Wonderful flavor. Bready malt and evergreen with nice citrus sweetness in the middle. Dank hop resin rounds it all out. Proper bitterness on the back end but not as in-your-face as the IBUs would suggest. Dry finish. Great brew.

Enjoyed this one a lot. Wonderful Impy IPA!
