Draft at The Growler Bites and Beer. Pours light clear amber with a tremndous off-white head. Big aromas of sweet citrus, pine and earthiness. taste is sweet tropical fruits, floral notes, grass, earth, citrus fruit and slight spice. Nice finish that slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Nice balance.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 Doofgoblin (125) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 17, 2013
A strong imperial IPA for sure, just wanted more citrusy, piney aroma on the nose. Pours a typical amber. Aroma is piney, resin, and faintly citrus with a hint of onion. Simcoe, meh. Taste is piney, resin, faint citrus. Finish is clean bitter and really good. Overall, it’s a good brew just wanted a little more "wow" on the aroma.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ericular (224) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours a clear amber with great white lasting head and excellent lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, fruit, and a touch of alcohol - very nice. Taste is boozy and slightly medicinal up front, like a bitter barleywine, but not as harsh as it sounds. Gives way to hop resin and grapefruit rind. Bitterness hangs on as expected, but fades to a really finish with the caramel and bready malt making a minor appearance. Fresh grass and pine in the mix too. Very complex and packs a punch. Alcohol is evident but it’s not offensive. Palate is thick, and lively carbonation is appreciated, as the effervescence adds to the experience. If you’re in the mood for an aggressive grassy hop bomb with some character, this is where to turn.
2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 walleye (1042) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2013
I have to say I did not likes this. I thought may be I got a bad bottle but all four were the same. very strange hop flavor that left a bad after taste.

Tap at Stags Head for Sierra Nevada tasting,. this paired nicely with the free salmon crostinis they were serving. nose is huge sweet hops. tastes is over the top juicy hops, in particular grapefruit, caramel, lilacs, juicy fruit gum, a touch of the cedar, and bananas. sticky finish with slight alcohol hotness.

Pours a clear bright golden/amber with a full long lasting antique lace head. Aroma is pine cones and grapefruit. Taste is sweet caramel malt, maple syrup, grapefruit and a really big amount of hop bitterness. alcohol is rather subdued considering the ABV. A very busy, but well balanced strong IPA. Delicious, but you gotta be in the mood.
4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 harmfillstead (8) - - MAY 15, 2013 does not count
Love the hop selection, someone masterminded a glorious concoction here. Although sweet, it hits the tongue with bitter hopiness more than enough dominate the sweetness. It finishes with great floral and slightly piney remember acne on the palate. There is a malty undertone that adds the perfect weight to the beer, a warning weight that says ,’ hey! I’m 10+% and I can make you forget that fast !!! Yum yum yum

Like mouth-mowing a field of hops after a spring rain. Wonderful aroma, whole-cone hopped flavor. Nothing to knock here, except I’d like to see it in a can (a la Heady Topper). Wunderbar!

Nice brew and solid like most of Sierra Nevada beers would drink again but nothing too special.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Belgian22 (16) - Deerfield, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 14, 2013
So glad to have found this at a local mom & pop - 4 pack, this review for the third one having had one 4 nights ago and one 2 nights ago. Never put much stock in the Nevada but they really came through here. Serious quality. As it sits here in front of me - more of an orange / amber, thin, chunky off-white head, easy-going carbonation.
Nose, palate, taste, and aftertaste all superb. Very juicy palate, reminds me of Heddy Topper on mouthfeel (although quite different in most other regards). Just so much to appreciate here. Time for my first sip.
