COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Note: This beer is no longer made and has not been bottled for a few years now. It was replaced by Torpedo.

Bottle. Clear dark amber pour with just a little haze at the center and and a thin tan head. Aroma of toasted malt and a hint of lemon. Very restrained hop presence in the flavor. Mostly bready, metallic and nutty with some citrus, toffee and light caramel. Crisp texture and a drying, slightly bitter finish. Not your typical West Coast hop bomb by any means but not what they were going after with this brew.

I had to be nice and at least rate this beer as a 1... this was the worst beer Ive ever had, I ended up pouring it down the kitchen sink drain. I guess Im just not an IPA fan.... to each his own.

A great big hop aroma and taste. The finish is a bold pine and alcohol blend. It has a very english taste. I like it. I was surprised to see the Alcohol was only 6.9 %.

Bevuta in bottiglia. IPA senza infamia e senza lode, dorata penetrante con buona schiuma, correttamente luppolata ma senza niente di eccezionale. Corpo medio. Discreta.

Not much of a scent, light golden color. Can lightly taste the hops, really drinkable.

Light amber colour with a thin head. Faint hop aroma. Flavour is mildly sweet with medium bitterness and taste of hops.

Bottle: White foamy head. Pours a clear very dark orange to light brown beer. Smell a lot of hops and some bitterness and flower, as well as hints of fruit (citrus, grapefruit, pineapple). Taste a well balanced hoppy/bitter ipa: again lot of hops, fruit, hint of spices and malts. Nicely bitter and bit dry in the end, well balanced.

12 oz. bottle Poured with a half-inch head with very nice lacing all the way down the mug. Appearance was a very nice caramel color. Looked very good Smell has faint hint of citrus to me, very good overall. Taste is what you would expect from a top-notch IPA, very bitter. Im not the biggest fan of IPAs but this one is good if you like it bitter. Mouthfeel is just above average, not very heavy. Drinkability depends on your tastes, but if you like IPAs, I believe you should be able to down a few of these with no problem. Overall a very srong outing once again from Sierra Nevada.
