Aroma is perfumy with some woodsy, earthy notes and a touch of lemon. Color is amber with a one fingered, off-white head. Taste is herbal hops with caramel & biscut malt flavors. Finish is towards the bitter and there is a lingering earthy flavor. I remember being somewhat surprised that SN decided to make their IPA in the English style. Overall this is a well made, tasty beer, and I’m sure they got what they were seeking out, but I don’t care for the goldings flavor. BDR (2153), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2007 Faint hoppy nose on this dark brown pour. Not a lot of head and a disappointing amount of hop character the body. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark

The aroma has notes of fruits and citrus. The flavour is slightly sweet, has notes of caramel and piny citrus and it’s quite harmonic and rather dry - but I would have preferred a different chose of hops, more clean and distinct. 2156 jimhilt (1672), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2007 Not very good at all. Orange color. Light, bitter hop aroma. Weak hop flavor and a dry finish. They are attempting to appeal to a wide market I suspect, and sacrificing quality to do it. littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA
