Dark orange color with a small whtie head that fades. Starts with a moderate bitterness finishing with strong bitterness and carbonation. Light yeast is evident in the taste. Copper/amber color, small off-white head. Flowery grassy aroma with pine needles. Pineneedle-hoppy flavor. Bitterish palate with typical Sierra Nevada -yeasty notes. Balanced and standard session IPA with nice long bitter aftertaste. ztrvz (218), st paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2007 much better than i expected. weak aroma... faint bread crust, some sweetness. incredibly hoppy -- and dry. i like the dry finish. medium body. this is an english ipa that is super-hopped the american way. a little more maltiness would be nice, but this is still good. tastes very fresh and clean. improves as it warms. tommy8768 (120), Litlle Compton, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Orangey color, head dissipates quickly. Odd-its actually sort of tasteless. Very slight hop presence detectable. Doesnt taste bad but surely not like an IPA should. I think regular SNPA is way better. Will rate later but for now thumbs down. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2007 12oz. bottle - pours deep golden, with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is quite sweet and malty. Not so much hoppy, but there are piney hop notes in the background. There’s a soapiness in there as well. Flavour is similar ... hoppy, yes, but the hops are quite mellow, especially compared to most American IPA’s. The hops are sticky and smooth, making the mouthfeel on this one of its better attributes. Drinkable beer, but fairly uninteresting. mmhnto (31), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2007 Aroma lacking of hops or malt. Very bitter aftertaste. Ok, but don’t think I’ll have another one soon. crowern (8), sacramento, California, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2007 copper-hoppy at first with bitter after taste... poured out thick with med head. nice in 6pk form when it warms up! gogglegurf (9), Washington, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Light/Medium Amber, Small white head that dissapeared about half way through. Lacing not plentiful. Hops up front and long lasting with underlying med/light body of malt. Not bad, had better. Just started rating so I’m not a pro.
