But I also love IPA’s, and this one doesn’t cut it for me. Reddish color, take a whiff and you already know you’re not in for anything bold or suprising. The taste is more like a pale ale to me, just a bit hoppier. It actually reminds me a bit of their pale, but obviously that’s not the taste I’m looking for from an IPA. Sierra Nevada brews good beer, (especially their pale and their porter!) but I think they played it too safe with this IPA by trying to appeal to the masses with something mediocre. truegen (164), Puyallup, Washington, USA

Nose is a bit weak, so much so that the alcohol almost seems to dominate. Head was minimal and didn’t last. A fairly mild IPA, hopwise, with most of the bitterness up front, but quite drinkable. garthicus (1273), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I was excited to try some of this after years of the PA. You know me, I like my PAs with the I in front. This could be a great session beer, as it is so balanced. emerica56 (579), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA

There was a nice smooth bitter taste left on the back of my toung which was enjoyable and made it good to drink. Marsiblursi (1634), Göteborg, Sweden
