| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Very very similar to their Pale Ale.. There is a bit of nice sourness, though not quite enough bite for my liking for an IPA. Generally pleasing.. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Bottle - Amber to orange color w/rocky white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Strong bitter hop flavor - orange peel, grapefruit, etc. IPA’s are a wee bit too much for my liking, but I can see what they were going for here. This might overpower any food pairing, however almost any brew will go with pizza. CelticBrew (691), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Pours out an orangy, mulky color. Aroma of pines, hops, and perhaps a citris note or two. Forms a small light yellow colored foam head. A very smooth malty flavored IPA. Yep, does remind me more of a strong ale, not quite as grassy or hoppish as I would expect from an IPA, but regardless a fine beer! No doubt this could be considered an IPA with its hop character, however not like my personal faves such as Hop Devil or Thunderhead. BUT, with its interesting character, Sierra Nevada still puts out another fine ale here. (Bought @ Pricella’s in MHC NC). marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Updated: Feb 27, 2007(from notes). Bottle. Mild hops in the nose, with a surprising malt and yeast presence. Pours golden with thin swirly white head. Opens bland but the hops follow with a sharp dryness. Well-hopped, but not too complex. Smooth mouthfeel makes for a good session beer, but not an exciting one. Worth drinking, not worth passing up a better IPA. jasonp (1509), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Attractive clear copper with a tight medium off-white head. Subtle British hops and light toffee in the nose. Flavor has notes of medium toasty caramel, bread, wood, grapefruit, earthy/peppery hops and ends with plenty of resinous bitterness. Absolutely perfect consistency and creamyness in the body with medium crisp carbonation. Nice lacing and good head retention. Very well-made. Good but not quite delicious. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Clear orange/amber with a medium head. Fair lacing. Aroma of grass and earth hops and caramel malts. Bitter but also balanced with a lager-like smoothness. Powerful malt backbone. Some ripe fruit coming through, too. Bitter finish.
