COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Note: This beer is no longer made and has not been bottled for a few years now. It was replaced by Torpedo.

Bottle. Amber beer with a honeyed hop taste and a big bitter finish. The Civic or Corolla of mass produced beers because of its reliability. Itís found pretty much everywhere, itís a guarantee that it will be satisfying and it always gets respect in a joint where everyone else is just chuggin bud lights. If an establishmentís beer list is sub par then this is my fall back beer and that goes a long way.

This beer was bitter but not in a good way. I like a good IPA from time to time and like to think that I have tried some very good ones but in this case something just seemed off. The finish was bitter and almost pungent. Iíve tried it a couple of times so I donít know what the deal is. This was for sure a miss in my book.

Tap. Poured light golden with a nice white head. Very well balanced IPA, highly drinkable. Not too hoppy, very smooth, light bodied ipa. Good stuff.

Disappointing... I expected a west coast IPA with a big floral hop flavor. Not distinctive and simply not enough of a hop flavor. If you like balanced IPAs, maybe youíd like this more than I do.

Golden cloudy orange in color... Aroma much more subtle than the torpedo... Fairly piney, flavor of the hops is evident... Not terribly or overly bitter however, a gentle bitter finish... Good beer, like the torpedo better though...

Bottle and draft. Pours an amber body with a white head. Light citrus, floral notes, some light pine and plenty of malt. Nothing stand out.

Bottle. Pours a orange/gold color. Aroma was the usual suspects pine, citrus and some caramel. A bit earthy to. Taste is hoppy with some piney notes and a nice malt backbone that creates a good balance. Bitter finish.

Bottle at BeerBistro. Orangey gold, puffy thickish pour. Juicier fuller hops than the Pale Ale, a little more citrusy with some bite. Very frontal with a nice lingering clean finish. Fruity malt is very complimentary. Laclks offputting bitterness. I found this one bottle extremely good in an approachable way.

Draft at BJs. Pours a rich amber with a creamy white bubbly head. Aroma is toasted malt. Flavor is impressively crisp, with a very nice balance of malt to resiny hop. Bitterness lingers on the palate for longer than I expected. Not overly complex but very good.

The first thing i noticed was how clear this was for an IPA. had that normal IPA smells, citrus, pine, etc. taste is alright, sort of middle of the road IPA, nothing too distinctive. A good IPA but not one i will seek out again.
