COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Note: This beer is no longer made and has not been bottled for a few years now. It was replaced by Torpedo.

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph. Pours a pretty, clear, orangey amber with a small fluffy off-white head. Aroma is mild, some citric hops and caramel background. Nice and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is well bitter and dry with pine, slight fruityness and a nice medium caramel sweetness at the back. Nice.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2007: Orange with a small but lasting off-white head. Pine, grapefruit, grass aroma. Sweet with a perfectly balancing bitterness. Juicy, drinkable IPA.

Københavnske Øldage 07. Bottle. Warm golden and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of fruits and citrus. The flavour is slightly sweet, has notes of caramel and piny citrus and it’s quite harmonic and rather dry - but I would have preferred a different chose of hops, more clean and distinct. 2156

Aroma is hops n spice, maybe a hint of malt. Perhaps also a hint of pine. Beautiful ruby/orange color, but I couldn’t get a head. There’s a bit of malt in here, but the hops keep it well in bounds. I find orange at the onset, and the body is firm. Great mouthfeel. It went really well with Korma and masala, balancing the heat of the spices nicely. So how good is it that an IPA works with Indian cuisine? Very. Great stuff. The draft I had was months ago, but I think the bottle stands up well to draft quallity.

Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured a clear copper color with an large off-white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate hoppy citrus and pine aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium hoppy bitter flavor with a smooth hoppy citrus bitter finish of average duration. Solid drinkable brew.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2007 Draft... This beer rocks... The color of a U.S. Penny straight off of the mint, this beer has a very floral aroma, as it should. The flavor is great. First MALT and then HOPS HOPS HOPS! Finished dry, but not too bitter. Excellent IPA. It makes me all hoppy inside. HopHeads rejoice!

Very nice IPA, doesn’t wallop you over the head with hops, but you definitely know they’re there. Good character, bitter finish.
