Lots of fast rising bubbles in the glass. The aroma is mostly grassy hops, with a bit of toast and just a hint of chemicals. The flavor has a great deal of toast and coarse grain. The hops are mostly bitter, without adding much floral/citrus/pine character, but the nondescript bitterness better accompanies these particular malts anyway. Nice, dry, earthy finish, but a subtle sweetness comes out in the aftertaste. Not too bad. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Clear orange/amber, medium white head. Citrus and floral hops are subtle in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a fine, light carbonation. Light caramel malt with some grapefruit and piney hop flavors that lead to a dry, bitter finish. I was expecting bigger hops given the character of SNPA. kseecs16 (919), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly, just hanging on the ege of the glass. The aroma is earthy but not overpowering. It has a sweetness upfront and a hoppiness reminscent of the classic SNPA, but with a more dry and not incredibly bitter finish. Thin and carbonated it lacked body. The flavours are more malty than hoppy to begin with, sweet and bicuit-like. Then the bitterness starts kicking in toward the dry end. Enjoyit (1786), Vadum, Denmark
