doppelmeup (51), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Apr 25, 2008 This was really an awesome beer!
Poured a bottle in a pint glass. Thick, half inch head that left gorgeous lacing all the way down the glass. Golden amber color.
Aroma was nice and hoppy, but not overpowering. It really smelled good!
The taste was perfect. Very bitter, balanced by the right amount of malt flavor.
A very clean, bitter finish that left the palate refreshed and wanting more. Just the right thickness and carbonation.
Extremely drinkable brew.
thefle (23), , New Jersey, USA Sep 29, 2008 This is my go to beer in most liquor stores when I feel saucy. A pretty standard IPA that gives you the bite you’d expect when you want ipa’s bp (315), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle: a beer I’ve had a million times it seems, just finally rating it, pours a golden amber with a frothy white head, aroma is hoppy, some citrus, taste is hoppy but not overpowering, bitter finish. Solid stuff. As_a_Newt (73), blackpool, Lancashire, England Sep 15, 2008 bottle. this is a really lovely colour but nose is disappointing. it makes up in the flavour. palette is strong but not overpowering. overall a good session drink Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 14, 2008 courtesy of Tony Flükiger; 2007 vintage - hazy red-orange colour with a poor foam left; oily hoppy nose showing notes of peach and melon; medium-bodied and with a moderate carbonation; slightly oily palate but finishes very dry and very bitter; long fruity and flowery hoppy finish Snojerk321 (1021), San Diego, California, USA Aug 2, 2008 12 oz. 2007 bottle. Amber in color. Nose is a bit weak, so much so that the alcohol almost seems to dominate. Head was minimal and didn’t last. A fairly mild IPA, hop wise, with most of the bitterness up front, but quite drinkable.
