billk (291), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA May 21, 2007 Updated: Jun 9, 2007 bottle 12 oz ’07. Clear amber with copper tint, off white head fell to a thin rocky cap quickly, minimal lace. Plenty of large bubble carb. Aroma of plastic and overcooked medium roasted malt, min hops. Flavor is a burst upfront of medium roasted caramel malt that is dull and overcooked tasting which fades quickly into a somewhat harsh, poorly integrated hop bitterness. There was a touch of green apple with a bit of spiciness. Lacks depth, malty creaminess, and hop flavor. The bittering hops hit early and linger into an annoyingly shrill finish. Another S/N dud.
thefle (29), , New Jersey, USA Sep 29, 2008 This is my go to beer in most liquor stores when I feel saucy. A pretty standard IPA that gives you the bite you’d expect when you want ipa’s bp (340), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle: a beer I’ve had a million times it seems, just finally rating it, pours a golden amber with a frothy white head, aroma is hoppy, some citrus, taste is hoppy but not overpowering, bitter finish. Solid stuff. AsaNewt (109), blackpool, Lancashire, England Sep 15, 2008 bottle. this is a really lovely colour but nose is disappointing. it makes up in the flavour. palette is strong but not overpowering. overall a good session drink Bov (4735), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 14, 2008 courtesy of Tony Flükiger; 2007 vintage - hazy red-orange colour with a poor foam left; oily hoppy nose showing notes of peach and melon; medium-bodied and with a moderate carbonation; slightly oily palate but finishes very dry and very bitter; long fruity and flowery hoppy finish Snojerk321 (1122), San Diego, California, USA Aug 2, 2008 12 oz. 2007 bottle. Amber in color. Nose is a bit weak, so much so that the alcohol almost seems to dominate. Head was minimal and didn’t last. A fairly mild IPA, hop wise, with most of the bitterness up front, but quite drinkable.
